Solid Job Ryder. Help is on the way, for the Defense. When Chubb comes back, it should change what this defense can really do. I am of the opinion, that the Dolphins are one player away from being able to do, really good things. I'd say that would have to be upfront. If say, the Fins, had a DT/NT, who is not only a good run stopper, but a line disruptor, that frees up others. Derrick Brown type would be a pipe dream, but, while the Fins would luv that caliber, something less, can be nearly as effective. As far as the secondary, I hope that the Fins learn something valuable this year. If Weaver and his staff sticks around next year, don't look to go with veteran Corners nor safeties. Trust in the process of finding that talent in the later rounds of the draft & UDFA. While Poyer was not that much, every penny counts. Fins seems to be getting more production regardless of if Poyer plays or not. I'd rather give that chance to a rookie, who is cheap, and save the money.
The defense did not lose this game. Skylar Thompson standing still in the pocket like a deer in headlights and the 4 or 5 penalties in a row on special teams in the same series did. Thompson has zero situational awareness.
So, in a game Miami was probably going to have to win like Pittsburgh does, 10 to 15, the defense gave up 17 in the first quarter. For all purposes, if the hawks didn't help Miami after that, the game was over. Are you saying they played well after the game was over? Lol. The hawks mainly stopped the hawks. They had some drive killing penalties, they went conservative with a 14 point lead, Miami in self destruction mode on offense, amd geno Smith, a backup RB, amd a practice squad oline. Well, until they put it together enough to make it a 3 td lead and the next possession run out the clock. Like a backup rb with 22 carries and 50 yards, a 2.7 per and 1 td in the 2 games before had 18 carries for 91 yards, 5.1 per, 2 tds. Wow what great defense.
This is like some some saturday games like Alabama vs northwest tech. Sometimes tech makes some plays throughout the game. The problem is is you look up at the scoreboard when its over and as many plays as they made. They lost by 3 tds. This is the same. We are cherry picking the good plays and not seeing the big picture. We cant stop teams until they get a big lead and take the gas off. At home vs a crap jags team, they made juat enough great plays to make up for the crap. The last 2, the whole team has been crap.
@@rydermcconville really? You say it but you don't explain it. Explain why it's different? It's pretty clear, in a game if Miami was going to probably need to be something like 10 to 13 for miami to win, they made some plays but also gave up 17 first quarter points. So unless the hawks helped out the dolphins with turnovers, with the crap offense we have even with tua, we can't score over 20 with him, the game was over. Did they lose by 3 tds? Yes. Did they ever score 17 to just make up for the points the defense gave up in the first? No. How about showing 36 getting trucked? Holland smoked again and not tackling rbs? 56 and 15 getting no pass rush? Geno throwing for 200 yards in the 1st quarter, he had his highest comp %,, best yards per attempt amd comp, and his longest pass of the year. The backup running back the first 2 games had 22 carries, 50 yards, 2.7 per 1 td. Vs the dolphins, 18 carries, 91 yards, 5,1 per, 2 tds. All this and more behind a practice squad offensive line. So cherry pick more on how the defense played so good we lost by 3 tds. Pittsburgh wins 10 to 15 games, so don't tell me defenses can't hold teams down amd win with a bad offense. The goal was Miami needed to keep the hawks to 13 or less. They failed. How can that be a win? How can you say they played well enough to win? Good teams find ways to win. We don't.
@@rydermcconville let me be more precise. The offense is 2 wrs and teams since Dallas, 5 fg, no tds, 22 points, Miami cant break 21 points because teams are taking those 2 wrs away and making tua and thenrest of the crew beat them and they can't. It doesn't help the defense has been garbage to. Please, please don't say they were good. They made some plays but, the hawks stopped the hawks a lot. They had drive killing penalties on a couple of drives but also had moved the ball out of deep in there own side of the field. The went conservative with a 14 point lead, the offense of Miami in self destruction mode, gemo Smith at qb, a backup RB, and a practice squad oline, which is clear to understand if you understand situational football. The only way the hawks lose is if they help Miami with turnovers. Same in the bills game. Up 3 tds, the bills put it in eay mode and ate clock. Situational football, try it.
@@rydermcconvillewe need you to rebuild the team. I trust you more than grier. the we need to run the ball more is crap to. Go watch the game. It's hard to run when you commit penalties and are behind the sticks. It's hard stick to run down 14. It's hard to stick with the run when achane is avg 2.7 per carry. People are trying to find reasons we can still be good because they are in denial about just how un talented this team is and how no amount of coaching can make up for that. Stupid penalties, players low moral amd poor preparation are only making it worse. We are less talented vs last year and we couldn't win a playoff game. End of season. Beginning of about next 2 year rebuilding. Next video should be on who we need to draft.
@@theodoresmith5272 The defense wasn't perfect and I basically explain my thoughts in the video but the first TD the dolphins gave up was after great field positions because the offense turned it over at mid field. Of course they need to carry the team but the offense scored 3 points and that came from the dolphins defense causing an interception. The 2nd TD came off a big play that was solely on Holland. So he deserves some blame but I'm talking whole defense in this video. They didn't allow a single score after that for 2 and a half quarters while also creating those 2 turnovers. There are still things they need to work on but for it being the teams third game in the new system I thought it was pretty impressive.
And Greir said fans, have nothing to worry about the offensive line what a joke to injured quarterbacks and a fail Mary quarterback hopefully Tyler Huntley can keep us afloat
Impressive? Please. If Miami wanted to win, the defense had to keep it low. Pitts wins like that so it can be done. Ryder thanks nice breakdown, Defense was the only shining ray of that game. Hope to see Anthony Weavers d scheme evolve more!!!
Jalen Phillips got bullied by a backup ot
Got crushed
Gotta give him time he just came back from injury that back of my day it was ending your career. Give them time to get back to form.
3 safety look
