Just FYI, there is a 2007 TRD Special Edition - it's the only year Toyota made a TRD FJ. As I'm sure you're aware every other year (except 2009) had a Trail Teams Special Edition, and of course 2014 had the Trail Teams Ultimate Edition.
Believe me, I know there is a TRD Special Edition, I used to own one! 😁 And I cover it thoroughly in my Special Editions video, but when people talk about a "TRD FJ" I just said it is a complicated topic since there is the 2007 TRDSE like you said, but starting in 2009 they made an additional TRD Package that the FJ could come with, so some people refer to TRD FJs as that package. And in other countries they have offered a different kind of TRD FJ, so that's why I didnt dive into it in this video 😂 it is a confusing topic, I should do a video dedicated to TRD FJs!

I thought the comment was something along the lines of I'm not sure there is a true FJ TRD or something like that.....I'm not gonna go back to find it exactly. 😂 And yeah, I knew there was an option to add some TRD branded parts to the FJ, but that doesn't make it a TRD. I know, I know.....it's probably splitting hairs, I just hate to see people in the crazy FJ aftermarket trying to sell FJ's as TRD's when they clearly ARE NOT TRD'S. 😉
@@dubiousj so true!! Yeah I see people list their "TRD FJs" all the time for sale when it is just a staight up normal FJ Cruiser with some random Tacoma TRD sticker on the side that a previous owner threw on there 😂😂
I really appreciate how active you are at responding to your viewers. I'm currently on a hunt for a 2014 TTUE with a manual transmission FJ Cruiser. But based on your research. Would you argue, I could just take a 2014 Manual Transmission FJ and just mod it to have the suspension of the TTUE and other international oem options from your other video about international fj cruiser?
Almost every video I've seen comparing anything off road to a G class has been biased to the G class. Not saying that thay aren't cool briccs with long legs, but more like an overpriced jeep In German to me. Would like one to off road someday though.
FJ are the ugliest, coolest, reliable vehicle that Toyota has created!!! I wish I got one years ago. I had to pay the 30k for a 2012 with 46k miles. I almost got a NSSE but I had to pass. I would love to own a 2013 TT !!! Great vids. Keep up the good work !!
I dont get the acceleration issues, I have a 2008 6sp MT and I keep up with 5.0 mustangs through the first 3 gears and no supercharger. Crushed a Cherokee Firehawk with the 392, but that could have been the driver. I do drive it like I stole it, but thats the only way I know!

That random someone’s video was me. I was a brand new owner, having got one with 10k miles for a steal from a Ford dealer. I was going off the various research on web from reputable sites-in one weekend - to get it to Scotty in time so I made some mistakes. I also was new at editing. Regretful but I couldn’t change it since Scotty hosts it.
Value is 12/10 its the most valuable used vehicle on the market in terms of its price retention. In 4 years and 60k miles my 2wd only lost $500 in value when i traded it in.
That's so awesome to hear! I've had my current FJ since 2015 and after 6 years and almost doubling the mileage I have seen people sell my same FJ for higher prices than I paid for mine back then!

I love my 2008 FJ, cool factor should be a 10 because people always approach me telling me how good looking and cool my FJ truck is, so kudos to that!

Yep you totally could! If you swapped the suspension on any other 2014 FJ for that from the TTUE you would have the same feeling when driving 👍
