Stance dancing becomes very easy by just macroing every single ability to their respective stance. It takes no thought at all after that.
@@robertparks8108 if you're above 80 rage you should heroic strike so you dont overcap rage anyways? you retain 75 from tactical mastery to begin with.

Stance dancing can be eliminated by just macroing the stance change into the ability. That way when you press the ability, you're automatically in the right stance. It's a no brainer.
I did this a week before cata launch and I feel like a fool for stance dancing manually the entirety of wrath lol

what macros would you recomend for arms warrior? i really apreciate your vids, keep them up
Interesting but it doesn’t go over rage dumps in berserker Stance AOE after you use reckless bladestorm. Whirlwind is good for this. Get down to 50 rage, switch back to battle. 15 years as an arms warrior. Another useful tip is the pacing of the dungeon. Do not use sweeping strikes and bladestorm together. Bladestorm hits all targets and does not need the benefit from sweeping strikes.
1st pull AOE: bladestorm
2nd pull: sweeping strikes
3rd pull your bladestorm is off cooldown.
Now we can go over cooldowns
Do NOT under any circumstances use deadly calm and inner rage if you are going to bladestorm. By the time bladestorm is over you have wasted thier benefit as bladestorm will for SURE have you at 90 plus rage.
deadly calm any time after you rage dumb to keep your sustain. When you get low rage. Use inner rage when you need to rage dump.
Deadly calm: at low rage
Inner rage: at high rage
Recklessness on cooldown.
Thunderclap: only when 5 or more enemies.
If any1 is still confuse about rotation its because, war dont have simple/normal rotation like other class, you have to use ur spell priority wise, like in the video

Solid run down, but for yellow gems, you'll probably want to go with the STR + Crit gem-not haste, I reckon.

Why not take blood and thunder over dumping the extra points into incite? It provides significantly more value as soon as there’s a second target involved and incite is underwhelming at best considering the few niche cases where you are casting more than one heroic strike consecutively

I can def see myself having two pve specs during the week after t11 though
The extra 2 points in Incite grant increased critical strike chance (15%), and make it so that each Heroic Strike critical strike has a 100% to make the next Heroic Strike be a critical strike. Which is really HUGE for DPS in single target. Don't take it for AOE though!
for the stance dacing i usually have macros to make it a bit easier like if i wanna use rend and then mortal strike i have one macro for rend and one for mortal strike like this:

I dont know if its any good but it makes it easier imo, so all abilities that need berserker i have macro for and all that need battle stance i have macros for if that makes sense.
But thats just how i enjoy playing :D
Expertise to 26 isn't in front of crit?
When you say 26 points in expertise what do you mean? You get 100+ in one piece of gear.
why heroic strike before slam? slam does a lot more dmg for half the rage and why would you use heroic strike over execute?
Because heroic strike is instant and don't share CD with other abilities
Why would you mortal strike before colossus smash? It makes more sense to do it reverse.

@@jordancongeni634 sure it does. You will get 3 stacks a few seconds later but your MS is a great skill to use in your CS window, it will deal more than enough damage to justify the switch

You pritty much never want to use heroic strike unless you are about to cap rage or deadly calm is up.
There are a few bits wrong with this guide, but the premise is good. CS before Mortal Strike always, and save your big dmg abilities for during the CS window. The orange gem you want is Strength/Crit rather than Strength/Haste.
Also Macro your abilities to switch into the required stance first i.e

I do honestly agree re macros - I wasn't sure whether to put it in the video or not, or if a lot of my more casual viewers would find it a bit OTT.
that isnt telling me a rotation... its just telling me what each spell does, that i could read on the tooltips? a rotation is what to open with and what order to use spells as you fight
I did explain the rotation, and what order to use them all in though lol. You even have them in order on the screen
Decent guide but you can tell this guy is not a high end arms warrior cause he could’ve given a lot of other pointers. You need to just macro everything and definitely use slam more than heroic strike. Heroic strike is only there for when you have a battle trance proc and full rage. If your rage is full by all means use heroic strike but this guide downplays the use of slam which is wrong 🤙🏼

I can tell that i have everything on macro 😂 stancedancing, shouts, sweeping strikes and so on.
I play warrior since classic an this is the only class where i put so much effort in it to maximise every ability.
You are completly fcked if you play with no macros.

Or, I just didn't want to overwhelm my viewers with having to setup 100 macros. Maybe you're looking for something more advanced, and that's fine. :)

Arms feels very rage starved right now. I love the spec but it feels weak.
Do you have enough hit and expertise? If you don't, arms feels like absolute shit.
@@LongJohnnn yeah, I think the rotation is what’s throwing me off. I don’t know how to properly use slam and stance dance to maximize the rotation
@@beautadlock6703always keep CS on CD, MS on CD, dump rage with slam and (75 rage+, with HS) or cast HS before slam with a battle trance procc. this is the basic rotation. now you have the overpower proccs, aim to use overpower right before rend would procc again your taste for blood buff, then overpower again, so you can cast 2 overpowers in a row before changing stance back to berserk. so you follow the rotation above, when you see your taste for blood buff is around 5 seconds remaining use overpower and then overpower again. now back to berserk stance , use MS and follow rota again for 7-8 seconds until 2x overpower. use CS whenever it proccs
@@beautadlock6703 i started to put more prio to slam, somehow i´m critting with slam 30-50k but heroic strike is something at 20k so f that.
For stance dancing it´s quite simple you charge -> you rend -> you overpower and i have a macro that casts berserker stance after that it casts mortal strike. You want every damage source in berserker stance due to the 5% more damage. Only thing to switch stance for is overpower, so everytime you see the proc you wanna have a macro that casts the other stance + overpower in one click
For me it always feels like my dude never auto attacks lol im like standing there with no rage waiting for him to auto attack
