    Another Fantastic opportunity to check out the Ray mines in North Carolina. The different pigmatites that you found were very good finds!! The different mica, red garnets, tourmaline, quartz at the end were very unique. Thanks for sharing your experiences and adventures with us James and Maddie!!

    I love rockhounding that spot! Too bad it may be quite a while before we can get back in there, but there should be some new stuff exposed. So sad about all of the damage from Helene.

    I don't know if you mentioned it, but there are minor amounts of fluorite there as well.

      Cool! I had no idea. There are so many minerals in that pegmatite!
