People don't make albums anymore nor do they have stage presence anymore.

@@DMusicLove0910 I agree 100%. It also seems as though they are making music for money and not for the craft itself

I agree in general with your railing against shitty attention span. I don't use much social media either precisely because it messes with my brain. And still haven't been able to sit through movies alone rn. I do do full albums when i can though. I don't think 1 song from any artist will ever be anle to give you a real idea of what their sound is.
That said, I greatly disagree with your perspective on x2 speed. Sometimes the speed of someone's speech just isn't best for comprehension. There were so many classes in uni where I woulda done so much better if the prof spoke faster or slower.

@@lynxlubbpeeps thank you so much for watching my video🫶🏾
With your second point, I understand that there are some people who struggle with getting their ideas across (I do too lol). However, I feel like the over reliance of the 2x feature will result in people becoming impatient when having conversations irl (hopefully it makes sense).
Other than that, I agree with you. Your comment made me think about this more so thanks again🫶🏾✨
(oh and it took me about a month and a half to get rid of my "15 second" attention span so you're good😭)

@@zwonakakaii Hmm. Is the x2 thing actually common/in rampant usage? I used to use it a lot when watching lecture videos, but not much when watching on YT for fun.
I've got ADHD, and part of my teen years there wasn't much social media. I just never got into it bcoz I quickly noticed that e.g. more than 10 minutes at a time on instagram scrambled my brain for hours afterwards to the point I felt like I couldn't gather my thoughts enough to even remember what I meant to do that day.
The movies thing... Actually I think I messed up more by phone games. Playing phone games while watching something really made it so now it's difficult for me to pay attention to a series/film without doing anything else at the same time.

@@lynxlubbpeeps I have seen people in my life use 2x speed on youtube specifically hence why I am so passionate about it😭
The movies point is so true. I just think that we, as a society, have become people who multi-task different activities, such as watching a show while playing a video game. So, if we can't watch a whole movie without doing anything else, then albums have no chance (especially if there are no visuals that accompany the songs)

@@zwonakakaii Huh. I guess I see where you're coming from with the x2 thing. Maybe increased chances of people having tendencies to interrupt each other when they think the other person is talking too fast.
I've only recently started listening to full albums. But yeah I rarely do focus on just listening, and mostly listen when I'm doing other things. I don't think that's necessarily bad though, depending on what the activity is. Dishes, chores, walking, etc. Low mental energy activities should be okay.
More than the album thing, recently I found out some people skip songs because they only want to listen to the 'best parts' before moving on. That's really damn sad.
Anyway. Thanks for the video, and thanks for responding.

@@lynxlubbpeeps You're right, we should have more low mentally taxing activities.
It's just really fun when you finally understand the message of a whole album and how each track contributes to it.
The "skipping to the best part of the song" is so sad! I think when a 15 second clip of a song goes viral, this happens more.
Thank you for having this discussion with me🫶🏾
