- Thank you so much to little brother Ty for finding this family that warmly welcomed me into their home. It was an experience I feel so lucky to be able to have. While catching Ba Khia like this is no joke, I will have to leave the camera next time and get after the action myself. One of the best meals I have had in awhile. There is just something about getting with the locals, catching you dinner, and cooking it up right there on the spot.

I’m always amazed at how we as Americans and Westerners think that people living like these folks are beneath us. I say their way of life is way superior to ours. They love and live in the moment, not harassed by technology or other disruptions.
I agree with you on how simple the Vietnamese live their lives. It's true that they don't really need a lot to be happy. They're self-sufficient and " creative ." I think as human beings, we all possess the " survival instincts " ( my humble Vietnamese opinion ) shame on the Vietnamese government for the most part. Corrupted thieves, that's what they are.
