Case of the Week: Large Bowel Lymphoma (CT & PET)

- In this radiology lecture, we discuss the imaging appearance of large bowel lymphoma on CT and PET/CT.
Key points include:
1) Often isodense to skeletal muscle.
2) May have aneurysmal dilatation of involved bowel.
3) Less likely obstructive and longer segment involvement compared to colonic adenocarcinoma.
4) Located near ileocecal valve.
5) GI lymphoma: Most common in stomach, followed by small bowel (ileum, jejunum, duodenum), least common site colorectal.
6) Splenomegaly and severe lymphadenopathy favor lymphoma but may not be present.

@@Radquartersplz help found lymphoma in ascending colon colonoscopy shows circumferential friable erythematous growth noted in ascending colon and biopsy shows it's lage B cell lymphoma but can't read my CT scan report properly and also worried because soft tissue shows in lang but don't know what's that plz help should I go for ultrasound?
oh nice I just did a ct scan and have a large 5cm mass in my cecum with my abdominal lymph nodes being enlarged to 1.3cm lots of pain, night sweats, low weight. the ct scan says more likely lymphoma I go for my colonoscopy this week. Im a male 34 and in good shape and eat good. The blood work shows im slightly anemic and my CEA test shows 75 when normal is 0-3
