- In this quarantine edition episode I review Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Lore is a blend of 7 to 21 year malts aged in 5 different casks. It’s a rich and well-balanced Islay whisky. There are also several bloopers for you to enjoy at the end of this episode.

Thanks for tagging this video in your comment! I used to hate whiskey, and in 2021 I picked up a Buffalo Trace and it completely changed my world. Then Balvenie Doublewood 12 got me loving scotch. Right now, my favorites are Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B521, Glen Scotia Double Cask, and Laphroaig Lore.

Laphroiag 10 got me into scotch about 40 years ago. It was different then and I hated it initially. Lore is outstanding, I might like it more than 10 Batch 15 depending on the day.
This one is my favorite right now.
This is my favourite Laphroaig. A drop, and I do mean a drop of water removes some of the pepperiness, and really brings out the sherry cask influence.
For me, it was the ardbeg 10 which rocked my world and hooked me onto Islay whiskies
First time w scotch. Got a laphroaig 10 and wow the iodine nose is so strong. Please review the 10 year.
Lore with or without water depends on the cigar I’m pairing it with.
Quite like yourself I only liked bourbons to start off with and was given a Lagavulin to try and never looked back, very easily could of turned me away from scotch whiskey as I didn't know the regions back then. 👍🏻
