- DANG IT ABBY LOUISE I HAVE WORK TO DO!!! When I get to moving I can often accomplish quit a lot BUT OMGOSH YOU THROW A MONKEY IN THE MIX AND I BECOME JUNK!!! What do I mean?? Well I had been out carrying bags of feed to the pigs and hay for the cows when I came in to get a drink.. I sat down for a second to check my text and BOOMB THIS HAPPENED!!! Now you tell me that you would be able to just jump back up and walk away from THIS!!! OMGOSH her tiny little fingers and hands make my day complete!! She owns me!! Life is too short to fit in!!

Ig this is why people like it when kids play in your hair. Its similar. Unorganized and messy when kids do it. But it gives the same relaxing feeling for whatever reason

You gotta leave little treasures in your hair for them to find. Like cooked rice, or bits of crushed peanuts/cashews. Give them a edible representation of your love for all their hard work and monkey affection. Just thinkin. 🤘

You can buy ratpoison that looks like Rice,❤️❤️⚘️ and its coated with some sweet sirup. So the monkey always eats enough to have a reaction. It takes a couple of days, but they dont make it. Cheap and effective and its like some sort of human duty. To help clean out for those dirty disease rhe tree RATS have. Thank you ❤️⚘️❤️

Yup completely obsessed with this one of you Teresa and Abby Louise the most and timestamp: 1:02 oh my goodness when Abby Louise again...'pops' open her eyes 'full' and glances very quickly at the camera I melt, I have to paint that shot and tried my best to screen shot the image to no avail but I'll figure it out....Abby Louise, her face the shape of it...all of her, but also her incredible 'markings' are stunning within her fur....on each of her forearms she has two rings, they resemble tribal bands on her white furry part, and that alone her FUR is stunning, so fluffy!!!! Wanna hug her. Love them all but I think she's my fav right now, have watched the above over one hundred plus times. 💞💗💞
I never thought I’d say this, but I want to be groomed by a macaque now. They should set up macaque rescues as spas that people can pay to go to and all the money goes to their reclamation

No, the grooming comes with being familiar with the human, and learning to trust them. That takes time not just bam come in contact with human, and groom lol 🤦🏽♀️

When I was younger I volunteered at the Denver Zoo program an I remember when we got introduced to their two animal ambassador monkeys. They walked round in the indoor cages while getting briefed on all things monkey caretakers. When the female hoped to my lap an started grooming me, not knowing what to do I just pretended to groom her right back and she just flopped to my lap, suddenly no bones. After the brief exchange she would follow me everywhere, lol.

I looked into tongue movement, it's SUPPOSE to mean that their hungry. Watched a few videos of same breed doing the samething, all wanting food, not an accusation at all...she looks VERY HEALTHY! Try giving food/snack everytime you see this and see if it stops though as experiment. Love the video!
I don’t think any one action has the EXACT same meaning every time like the “EXPERTS” claim.. I have LIVED in the area/space WITH Java macaque monkeys for 26.5 years now and they are wayyyyyyyy more like US/me with their expressions than a plan black and white paragraph could ever explain… What I am saying is JUST BECAUSE I SMILE AT YOU DOESNT NECESSARILY MEAN I AM HAPPY!! It might be a smile of YOUR FULL OF IT, I DONT BELIEVE A WORD COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, HAVE A NICE DAY AND GET OUT OF MY FACE, or OMGOSH YOU CRACK ME UP, I LOVE YOUR FACE, or YOU MAKE MY DAY BRIGHTER.. The SITUATION has a LOT to do with the action/activity that is happening.. I pray this makes sense… I believe that they lipsmacks mainly, especially in grooming situations, as a PEACEFUL AFFECTIONATE UNIVERSAL COMMUNICATION stating we are friends I am here in peace to show love and respect to you in a non threatening manner.. I have been truly blessed with getting to meet and interact with a LOT of primates and they ALL seem to know/understand this ritual…

How difficult is it to diaper a monkey?
The way she takes a hair of yours Teresa, licks it...gets a 'glueball/sticky ball of spit' on the hair and then places it upon her favourite spot your eyelid, taps it and licks it again. My theory is Abby Louise is either doing this for the salt off of your skin to add 'flavour' lol or....it's a 'pick up stick' for more dry skin, etc.....the spit is an adhesive of course, your thoughts, anyone?

It’s basically how it makes the lip smacking sound. It’s how monkeys socialize.

Also it could represent that the monkey doesn’t have any teeth to keep the tongue in the mouth. Some owners remove the teeth to prevent biting. Teresa doesn’t do that but have seen it.

Abby has NO teeth at all.. They took ALL hers out.. will admit I am impressed with how well she can chew up everything.. I guess just like people the gums toughen up to work..

I just found your channel and LOVE your videos! Your monkey is SO cute and affectionate! I noticed that you don't have her in diapers (you're probably the only 'monkey' channel i've watched where their monkey isn't diapered--and in clothes)...I REALLY like that you don't dress/clothe her. Altho clothes on a monkey sometimes looks cute, I don't know that it's that great for the animal :( Anyway, how do you manage not using diapers? I've hear you can't potty train monkeys.
