Tito tapped & Chael showed mercy. Next time the Bad Guy won’t be so nice…
Fedor quit, Jon Jones broke a toe and had to sit
Don’t you bots ever get sick of the same jokes?

@@JamesOsyristhey wanna fit in so bad 😔
I needed to hear this. Time to get up and work
Everyone looks good until they fight somebody of the same caliber. We still have very much yet to see of Bo.
The problem is no current middleweight grappler is the same caliber
Agree but I think bo is the real deal. He'll be a champion as long as he don't get injured.
@@richarddavis5289that's also an opportunity! He should take 10 1st round finishes each year until everyone is dead at his feet
Bo called out Chimaev and Chimaev disappeared from social media for 4 months
Ikram aliskerov called out Bo knuckle after he wanted to challenge Dagestani wrestling and he went quite. Still fighting debutons while Ikram fighting his second fight in the UFC fighting top 10 ranked PAulo Costa. Let's go
The managing partner of the accounting firm I worked for told us that the most important asset you will ever have in your life is your time. It's the only asset you can't get more of and can't converse, it just keeps depreciating until it's zero.
He was in his 60s and he was trying to teach us a lesson. He said he'd trade large portions if not all of his wealth to be as young as were in our early 20s.
In many ways I felt he was telling us, without telling us, that grinding 70+ hours a work is probably not worth it, but he's the managing partner of the firm we work for, he can't tell us to quit lol. You'll end up wealthy but old and broken with a messed up family you weren't there for.
Bo is the guy Chael says Needs a ranked opponent bc he'll send someone who isn't as skilled to the hospital
He needs real competition because to this point we don't know where he's at other than much better than everyone he's faced by far
Agree.
I feel like that’s by design. Idk why but I can’t help but shake the feeling that Dana is throwing average at best level fighters at Bo to inflate his record with a bunch of W’s. And then once he fights his first ranked opponent, assuming he wins, he skyrocket straight to like the top 5 or close enough to warrant a title shot for himself. That’s just how I view it but I could be wrong.
@@sergiomendoza4850 To be fair Val came in on short notice, not really sure he had much of a choice on that one, either he fights or he doesn't.
@@Joedirt32 true, he didn’t have much of a chance under those specific circumstances.
I think it's more a case of they struggle to get opponents for him! The guy he just beat wasn't even in the UFC before that fight which means nobody in the UFC was willing to take the fight
As soon as he said, "whoever my managers and Dana says," I knew Chael would critique it.
This man, Uncle Chael, is the type of guy to pay for a meal even when he doesn't have to. People's Champion. Undefeated, undisputed.
Bo wants to be undefeated. He knows he is improving rapidly in camps between fights, and it seems like he doesn’t think he is ready to contend for a championship. I think he should just take the biggest challenge he can and go for it. If he loses, he will gain a whole lot more experience than if he finishes the next guy within a minute again.
Well we can’t assume he doesn’t think he’s ready. Being ready and being financially compensated to fighter in the rankings are two different things. And any smart fighter wouldn’t start fighting high level without he bag. I.E Khamzat. He was rushed into competition deservingly so but I can almost guarantee he’s not fighting because he wants to renegotiate that contract. It gets different at the top
😅9
You’ve clearly never fought. Every fight win or lose will make him better. He has cut through his competitors like a hot knife through butter because of the extraordinary work he has put in for 4-8 weeks in camp, and his ability to execute a game plan drilled in this camp. They are designed to teach, challenge you, and make you better. He had 1 amateur fight and 1 professional fight prior to the UFC if I’m not mistaken. The opponents have been more than appropriate if you ask me. If he obliterated them, that’s all credit to him. On his 6th professional fight, a 15- 20 ranked opponent would be appropriate. He is so new to this game that those criticizing are so far off. Most fighters have 3-5 amateur fights and 3-5 professional fights before even joining the ufc. I think he has the potential to dominate the division and would like to see him clash with khamzat in the future for a MW title fight
And that mentality of “taking the biggest challenge he can and going for it” is the worst advice for a fighter. This isn’t soccer or basketball. When fighters step into the cage, there’s a chance they suffer extreme damage or lose their life. He is 100% right in his approach to take his time. At the rate he’s improving, it shouldn’t be long before he is ready to compete with the best.
How has he improved? He's been fighting cupcakes
one Chael-ism that has always stuck with me is that you MUST call someone out when you're doing a post-fight interview. You just HAVE to. The momentum will never be the same.
Thank you Chael, you gave me the answer to a question I have been asking myself for a while. I will start elevating my training from here on.
Bo’s last 5 fights didn’t make him much better because there was no challenge. He needs fighters that will give him a challenge. That’s the only way he’s going to get better. I agree with you. He doesn’t have the time. Training camps will get you in shape, How do we know if he can take a punch? How do we know if he can prevent from being choked out when he goes in for a takedown? He should be fighting a ranked opponent, ridiculous that he’s not.
-2400 and -2500 favorite in his last 2 fights.
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour usually big money that bets gets it right they were correct and knew bo was going to win easy
@@HoldenChandler What? You ain't winning money betting on the 2000+ favorite. It's more likely they are building him up slowly. He's only had what? 4-5 fights?
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour shows you that the fight should not have taken place with that opponent that was a waste of fight for Bo didn’t even break a sweat it was a waste
@@ItIsYouAreNotYourHe won't fight a ranked fighter until 31 at his pace.
Finally! I heard Chael say a complete podcast that made complete sense without the hidden moral of the spiraled twisted tale. 😅
This man no joke real talent
pure force Genuine fighting style approach
wish he takes profit off the game
Bisping Champion at 37, Glover at 42 , Jan Blachowicz 38, DC 35 🤣
Now I know what Chael is doing when he has those little pauses he does. He's rattling off names that contradict what he just said.
Remarkable.
Undefeated. Undisputed
Everytime the Champ Chael talks I get Goosebumps and Chills go down my spine
I get wet and Moist throughout the day after hearing him talk
brooo 😂
You find him that creepy too eh
This must be the first time ever witnessing Chael Sonnen, on Chael's Channel, with Chael's people. He eats T-bone steaks, he lifts barbell weights, Bro..He is sweeter than a German chocolate cake. All I gotta say is, when you listen to the greatest fighter in the world.. they got a name for him...they don't call him a great fighter.
It’s called getting the chaels
Coach brands is a monster. I love that “this is the last year and I’m done with you”
Hey chael, long time watcher first time commenter. Just on the off chance you read this, i find your comments about “less than 10 people know about the business, the rest are just fighting” (pardon the poor paraphrase) fascinating. I got into the ufc in about 2007, and at first it was totally all about the punches and kicks. But once i learned more about the history in general, and then found your channel, it really opened my mind to looking beyond whats presented to us in our day to day (not just in fighting but in general)
I was thinking as a project if there was a way to take someone from zero influence in the industry to possibly being number 11 in your list of people who know what’s actually going on
Like someone with the drive and the mindset to take what you’re saying on board and implement it (since so many fighters wont lol)
Doesnt even have to be a fighter, could be on the media side, training side, whatever really. But yeah just grab someone by their bootstraps and be like yo if you do this and put the work in you’ll be flying
Maybe you’ve already got someone or multiple someones that you are grooming this way, if not though itd be a super fun long term project to document ;) (and no not me im 37 and havent trained a day in my life….but wouldnt say no to a chat if you’re even mildly intrigued ;)
Thanks for the great content regardless of whether ya read the ramblings on here ✌️
@4:38 It was at this point when Glover Texeira was snapped out of existence by Chael and the Reality Stone
Chael dropping wisdom. Sense of urgency can be crucial for a young star imo. Chael is MMA Yoda, super wise and experienced
I don’t think he’s saying he’s going to wait like 5 years to get a title fight I think he’s talking more short term saying he may not fight a ranked opponent for his next fight or two while he improves
Watch what you say, they'll believe you.
thats exactly what he meant, chael definitely didnt watch the whole interview. he hears a sentence and rolls with it
I want Bo Nickal to be in a rush! 😄
Time is undefeated...chael 100 💯 on subject
Agreed. Father Time is undefeated.
Bo really impressed me dude.... love watching people fall in love with their hands... just needs to always remember his wrestling and stay based in it 😉
No.
@@blackslav1497yes
@@viking_nor Well depends.
The problem with prospects is he can look amazing and then get hit once in a different fight and immediately crumble the moment he sees any adversity whatsoever. Many many times these guys look great until they dont. Im not saying this will be bo im just saying dont be surprised.
No.
Bo said he wants to start fighting ranked guys by next year. Based on his current pace I figure his next fight is november-december against a guy whose just on the outside of the rankings, then he fights in March against a guy whose barely ranked like #15 Chris Curtis. Theres a selling point there too because Curtis has been talking a lot of shit
I say go straight to Curtis.
Chael has his head so far up his arse, he forgets he was always an average fighter at best. Bo is 100% correct in his approach. This is combat sports. Not WWE. Bo had 1 amateur fight and 1 professional fight before the contender series. Why would he want to rush in and take a fighter that is more experienced and advanced in his skill set than he can handle? Of course a challenge is great, but having a level head is key and knowing when you are ready to compete and potentially win is most important. If he has ran through his competition, it is all credit to his athleticism, hard work, and extraordinary team that has put together camps designed to challenge him, up skill him, and prepare him. His opposition has been more than appropriate, for a man with less than 5 professional MMA fights EVER. Chael needs to realize that it’s not all about marketing and PR and PPV. Some fighters are truly in this game for the competition and love for the sport. Saying he won’t get a title shot at 35, he has clearly not seen The career of Daniel Cormier who is a legend in the sport. Chael takes on this “uncle Chael” persona as the wise and successful mentor but forgets the only thing that made him a star was his decorated trash talk and not his performances, as he lost to every top guy he went up against. Let this man live out his career as he feels best and go wrestle Vince McMahon on Monday night RAW.
@Chael if you read this, I’d love to hear your response
If Bo knows there isn’t any more time than what he has then the only inference to be made is that the guy doesn’t have high aspirations to be a UFC champion. The only other inference I could make is that he is baiting a motivational/promotional response from mainstream MMA in order to usher him into a higher opportunity matchup than most fighters would expect to earn at this stage of their career relative to his own.
Or he wants to become a media sensation like Jake Paul 😢
Woo! Let me tell you something, baby! Bo Nickal, he's the cream of the crop, the top dog, the stylin', profilin', jet flyin', limousine ridin', kiss-stealin', wheelin' n' dealin' son of a gun in the UFC! Whoo!
You see, Bo Nickal, he's got that "it" factor, that undeniable charisma that captivates the audience. When he steps into that Octagon, it's like a symphony of athleticism, precision, and pure entertainment! Whoo!
Now, I've been around the block, I've seen 'em all, and let me tell you, baby, Bo Nickal, he's a natural-born winner. He's got the heart of a champion, the drive to be the very best. He's got that killer instinct, that killer instinct that separates the good from the great, the champions from the contenders. Whoo!
When Bo Nickal enters that Octagon, it's like watching a work of art, a masterpiece unfold right before your very eyes. He moves with grace, agility, and power, like a finely tuned athlete who's mastered his craft. Whoo!
And let me tell you, baby, when it comes to wrestling, Bo Nickal, he's the best of the best. He's a three-time NCAA wrestling champion, a force to be reckoned with on the mats. And he's taken that elite grappling game and seamlessly transitioned it into the world of mixed martial arts. Whoo!
But it's not just his wrestling prowess that makes Bo Nickal special. No, no, no! He's got the charisma, the showmanship, the ability to captivate an audience like no other. He's got that Ric Flair flair, that larger-than-life personality that draws people in. Whoo!
So mark my words, folks, Bo Nickal, he's destined for greatness in the UFC. He's got the skills, the drive, and the natural talent to dominate the competition. He's gonna be a champion, a legend in the making. Whoo! And when he struts his stuff in that Octagon, the whole world will know: Bo Nickal, he's the man! Whoo!
This is too good to be amateur. You're a professional. Admit it! 👏
Was genuinely surprised he was so nonchalant about his next opponent/climbing the ranks. Would’ve thought he’d jump at the opp to fight someone ranked but I totally get the decision to take it slow, stack wins, and stack money.
He said he's not doing it for the money but clearly he is. Going hunting to beef up his media business
If he feels there's an area of his game that needs developing before jumping up the ranks
@@yvonnesanders4308 Then he should continue clearing out the bottom ranks frequently and gaining real experience
Bisping wasn’t a former champ and he got a title shot. He was at least 35. Jared Cannonair is almost 40 and fought for the title in the last year. Those are two off the top of my head Mr. Sonnen
Yoel Romero(40) and Jan Blachowicz(38) we’re also old contenders who had never held championship. His point stands though, urgency is a key factor of greatness.
@@The_Libationist Jan Blachowicz held the title
@@liladdy8138 not when he was given his first title shot against Reyes. Which even by then he was old. Easy to forget the dude is 40 now.
BO THE FUTURE CHAMP
Couldn't agree more about the needed urgency. He's 27. Probably in his athletic prime (maybe not skill wise, but physically). Riding the ultimate hype train. He needs to cash in on his talent and popularity now. He absorbed basically no damage in his fight. I would fight again next month if I were him. Opportunities are so rare in life and he's got one.
Also I know he feels he's a rookie and has lots of room to grow as a fighter, and rightfully so. Still I think it may be better to put all the chips on the table and go for broke now than play the long-term development game. Time will tell if his strategy is the correct one.
Maybe he wants to renegotiate his contract as he's becoming a bigger star. He's the next white hope!
Yo this is actually some legit ass life advice, even out of context. Chael is the goat at being a lone man talking about MMA cuz it's actually always some kind of philosophy or take on the human story of fighting
His career trajectory is going to be largely dependent on how his fights look as he gets matched up with better competition. If he continues to steamroll these dudes and walk out unscathed, he will be around a lot longer than if he starts getting into wars where he takes a ton of damage.
Correct. But he needs to fight way more frequently that way. He doesn't have time doing it that way
I think he could legit take no damage if he sticks to his wrestling almost all the way... So let's have him go every 2 weeks like its a wrestling tournament
I think the last guy he fought was an Uber eats guy that just went to drop off some food at the PI. Bo needs a step up in competition.
Bo is super talented but I wonder if he has a tail currently - there isn't a ton of footage of him in the cage, but I feel like I notice a pattern in which, while he is standing well out of range early on, he lightly faints a rear hand cross just a few seconds before making an explosive gesture to either throw or shoot. he is clearly dangerous enough that his opponents have to take any of his feints seriously but I'm curious to see if it happens again.
Good observation but that is only for those that hang back. If you charge forward your getting doubled!
I can picture Chael talking to his wife and kids like this. "I tell you this because if you don't do the dishes they won't get done"
Uncle Chael spittin on life right now
Better be an a rush. Injuries can and will happen. You have your push up to you to make the most of it
It's time for Bo to fight a ranked fighter imo top 10
This recent run of Chael life videos ain't bothering me.
Chael, did you forget about Glover Texeira!? Got a title shot at 40
It’s interesting to see how Bo’s mindset has changed since contender series when he called for khamzat
He still wants to fight Khamzhat, that has not changed. In his most recent interview with Ariel he said he would love to fight Khamzhat but wants it to be for a belt, not just for a ranking.
I think Bo Nickal may have created a new hybrid form of striking I haven't seen using wrestling footwork and combining his quick shooting footwork with striking. You don't know when he moves in if he's coming to shoot or strike. I think it might be something new or just he's doing it on a new level. It looks like wrestling striking for lack of a better term. It's fast and lethal and confusing. There is something in every sport called the illusion of power. It's when you do something in an untrained fashion that naturally feels like you're loading up to take someone's head off. True power is different, and it may also be that true speed is as well. Conor had a thing he always said timing beats speed, precision beats power. I think timing is speed and precision is power. Bo in terms of mechanics looks to me like he may be something new.
Thanks Chael! I've been the turtle about the SHTF. I got to model the ant b4 winter/shtf.
I love your vids sean
Fighters should fight while they’re young and invincible. You don’t get better by being inactive and you don’t gain fans by being inactive.
Woodburn ate that lead right, then when Bo showed he wanted to come back into the pocket Val tries to time a massive overhand right but gets baited and eats the three-piece.
Next time, Woodburn needs to fake the overhand right, to make Bo do the bait, so he can keep buying time to recover/reset (cause you are not timing that overhand).
No opinions, just observations and solid advice. 💯
Bless up Uncle Chael
Love from JAMAICA
I know Bo's coaches have instilled in him to have a sense of urgency. Strike while the iron is hot. This is one of the reason I think it's great to put your kids into sports in school because even if they are the most unathletic kids and and have little interest in sports there are a lot of life lessons you learn. In the classroom they don't teach sense of urgency and that competitive spirit you need to succeed in life. I'm not sure why Bo is taking this "it's time to smell the roses" approach to his fighting career. To Dana this just means Bo isn't serious about fighting and no need to put him on the main card in huge events. Dana is thinking NEXT! Who else can we build up because Bo isn't it.
What? This makes no sense and is not even close to reality.
2:25 Chael this is the realest shit you’ve ever said. There is no tomorrow get it done right now. Thank you you saved my life just now. Stay safe. Eg
The standard in the middleweight has been lifted and by the end of the year it would be clear. Those that fall behind wil have to catch up quickly otherwise they
wil be left behind. By the half of next year the top five wil be totally different.
I think Bo said the right thing. No need to rush him.
There are some exceptions, but mostly chael is right. That said i understand wanting to build before having the bigger fights. Sage northcutt had so much hype coming in, but he didn’t appear to be ready for it.
He has similar situation to Aaron Pico, who's career was fucked by jumping up in competition too fast
@@armedjoy3045 yup. Pico is another good example. Very talented guy, but he needed a little more development. It can be a tricky balance between taking full advantage of the few opportunities that come one’s way vs building a career. Bo Jackson was on top of the world until that hip injury ended it all.
Facts. In all facets of life.
Did you delete the Yair video or am I blind?
Taking his time to learn the stand up side of things just takes some time to develop. Quite a mature smart process to get to the top...
Chael, make a video abt Jamal vacating his belt. that changes everything for Alex at 205
He doesn’t necessarily needs a ranked opponent but he needs a test someone with some wins in the ufc like Tavares, battle, Hernandez, Duraev, pyre. There’s like 10-20 dudes before the top 15 that would be a bigger test than the guys he’s fought so far
Unko chael with some life lessons. Thanks champ
What an awesome perspective 😮 chael u are the fucking man. God gave you a great mind
When I saw him say that he wasn’t worried about losing the hype, that was a concern
He said he didnt care about it, not that he wasnt worried about losing it
He was ALMOST an NCAA champion - Jayson Ness takedown and 2NF with :06 to go for the win. That was a great match.
Barely no one ever remembers how you lost your NCAA match. Only that you loss to the winner
💯
Bo needs to fight as much as possible but he definitely had a hectic past year and half
If someone is scouting you there trying to sleep with you 😂 love this guy
Goat
thought we were going to get another lesson on the similarities/differences of stripping/relinquishing the 205 belt lol RIP Jamahal
They’ll probably match him up with a solid opponent like Gastelum, Muniz or Curtis next. Someone who will be more challenging and is ranked but isn’t top 5. I think one more fight with a lower ranked guy first will be good since he doesn’t have a ton of mma experience. Obviously the wrestling is elite but that cage time is super valuable before facing the top vets.
Jan was 39 I think, Glover 40s etc. 🤔😄 Good point though.

The new bo knows Nike campaign but ufc style
Bo will do things at his own timing. He doesnt care if his stock drops for a short time. Eventually it will go up. He will do things at his own pace and be a champion in his timeframe.
I can't wait to see how this Bo vs Francis fight plays out...
I’d say give him a Ranked fight.
"If your name isn't Jon Jones, you're not gettin' a title fight at 35."
He's right. You may have to wait until you're 42 if your name is Glover Teixeira.
That’s why Leon edwards has the most aesthetic physique
Bo wasn’t implying that he would go for the title at 35 years of age. I think what he’s saying is that he will still be fighting at that age.
Well its more then a hunting trip... Its Elk season in Colorado. First Bow season, maybe his dad is that cool, Hence the name Bo for Bow Season, Bow and Arrow Elk season is earlier then rifle season. Hence Bo going in September to for-fill his Bow license which is a small window of time... Go Bow or I mean Go Bo !!
Chael should do a class for rookies at the PI on how to promote yourself. Uncle Chael gets paid, the fighters promote themselves so their contracts are better if they make the UFC more money and us as the fans get a better product.
RIP Bo Nicole
Dillon Dannis is Daniel Dennis’ Bizzaro 😅
What about jarred connoneir ?
How old was robbie Lawler when he got a title shot?
I know you need content... I know you need something to talk about, here is the BUT..... We all know what you need to do in youre UFC career .... You step in the cage and you destroy youre op with conviction, dominance, and with ease.... thats it.... you keep winning and you WILL be everything you want to be in the UFC... nothing else.... just win with dominance ... add a little bit of trash talk, just a little, add a little bit of confidence, and WIN BABY WIN.... thats all you have to do.... and for some reason i think BO knows that... he understands he will dominate in his career....so, in my opinion, yes.... he has the time... BO knows time.... BO knows winning.....
Where's that Khamzat update remember when u said u were going to have a virtual meeting with Ali? You said u were going ask him about the Khamzat can't travel rumors
Glover!
Chael All we really want to know is how in the hell did you BREACH THE PEACE in Vegas and the bad guy always claiming "No Contest" 💪💪 Chael is a mans man! The Goat of Gangsta!
Don't fast track him Chael. He's still very young and still has plenty of time to grow more. He should get to 9-0 before fighting top contenders. I have confidence he can be great later down the road.
Chael please tell me since when does a champ automatically drop the strap at a bogus injury let alone twice with the same belt wtf if the champ gets injured he goes time to recover like always but now it's automatic drop the belt and I'm not understanding something and they can all use this honor crap and i don't wanna hold up the division but we all know that's bs but please make a video and make this make sense
Why did Chael forget about Glover?
I think I remember him saying if he gets 2 more wins he will probably get a title shot to cut along story short
Glover Teixeira was NOT a former champion, and secured the belt at 42 years old. Cmon Chael.
Never gonna see Huberman spit facts like this!!!
me thinks the production needs a sound upgrade :) invest in compressor mics and lots of them then there will be less of a sound like you are in the underground
Btw Bo just gave an interview where he said eventually he'll "smash" Chamaiev in Las Vegas, among other things.
That's not exactly keeping a low profile, but sets up a hype train not known for slowing down.
Good point!
UNCLE YOU SHOULD FIGHT HIM BRO.
It's one of these things.
Bo just needs to challenge a ranked striker and wrestle him. Should be easy work.
Never a truer statement "there's no situation where you'll get more time"
