    Making a nine foot moss pole is definitely something I could see myself doing... and possibly regretting lol 😅 I’ve been really glad I found your channel! ❤

      Hi I enjoyed your video, ithink I have one but its a little one would. Love it to grow like that ,but I think growing season is slowing down for plants here in SYRACUSE NY we only have the month of AUGUST for warm weather thanks anna.

      Thank you so much!! It's definitely way too tall 😂 I had high hopes and initially thought it would be cool but really hard to water lol

    I enjoy your videos so much. And my cat has learned that when he hears your voice, he will sit and wait for Luna to make an appearance. It’s very cute. Thanks again for another fun, educational video. Enjoy your weekend 🙂

    Another great vid and happy you rescued your Siltepecana. Mine is still tiny and as we are moving towards spring soon (not that we've had a heavy winter by ANY means, averaging 20-23 degrees C)) I'm praying it gets as big as yours. The propagations you placed in the cup of water look so lovely, like a lush green bouquet! Thank you for a relaxing Sun morning watch....always a pleasure watching your content. Keep them coming Melissa 👏🏼💚✨

      Thank you!! I looked a lot better before I stuck it outside 🙈 I felt bad I waited so long to take care of it. It'll be fun watching it climb again! ☺️

    Although it’s not the El Salvador, the leaves can get almost as big. Thanks for sharing Melissa.

    It’s been so hot lately in the upper 90s with high humidity and all my plants have been out since may and I’ve been needing to repot some but it’s miserable out and I don’t want to bring them inside and make a mess. Been having to water my moss poles every day too because our normal daily summer storms stopped last month for some reason 😭

    I just chopped mine up yesterday. It's such a fast grower!!! I finally tested proping in perlite cuz there was so many.
    Great video as always!!! 💚🪴🌿

    loved watching it! Thank you for sharing all of it, including you problem-solving on the spot and not having it all planned ahead of time. It truly helps! I did have a question regarding the beneficials actually. Could you share the process of you how they are "activated" as you mentioned in the video? Whatever your knowledge on beneficials and the hanging sachets, that would be awesome. I'd love to know your process :)

    • @plantsbymelissa
      @plantsbymelissa  Рік тому

      I actually filmed a nematode video this weekend! Activated just means you mix them with water then you water them in your plants but I plan on having it go up later this week!

    just got a li 3" pot of siltepecana. this video has made me so pumped to watch it grow! However, I do think I prefer the look of the juvenile leaves so my goal is a huge hanging/vining basket

      Both are pretty!! I think the leaves with holes are cool though but can't go wrong with trailing or climbing 🥰

    Good morning! I was just wondering Melissa, when you use the super thrive, how much and do you water with it every time? I bought some, but it says Super thrive foliage- pro, then on the right it says, Dino-Gro Foilage - Pro is now Superthrive Foilage Pro, it also says great for hydroponics! I don’t know I just started collecting plants less than a year, but yes just wondering how much and how often, thank you so much!😊

    • @plantsbymelissa
      @plantsbymelissa  Рік тому

      I use superthrive which is a little boost of vitamins. It's the dark bottle with a yellow label. It's completely different than foliage pro which is an actual fertilizer so you'll want to be careful with how much of that you're using. I don't use foliage pro but it should tell you on the back how much to add to your plants ☺️

    As I was watching a question re potting your plants came to mined. Most people seem to rehab plants in SM and that's what is in most poles, so why not put the base in SM

      I love sphag moss! I have used it for soo long and propagated pretty much everything in it. I branched out and tried stratum last year and absolutely love it! I still use moss and water occasionally but stratum is my go to prop medium now :)

    Neglect is not letting a plant live in a natural way. I may not be the optimal condition, but in the wild they are not always great either.
