Posting lyrics to "For My Tittas" because a few people where asking me if I could post, so here are the words 🗣🖤
Verse 1 -
Black sista, where you going, how you doing, where you been?
I ain't seen you on the scene for a couple of weeks
By all means, stay on your roll you gotta do your thing
But please don't sell ya soul for a couple of g'z
Embrace your black skin
And your race within
You're blessed by your blackness
And your dark skinned kin
Raise strong black kids
Throw those drugs in the bin
And you'll be bound to make
Your old people look at you and grin
Stand strong like your matriarchy
And titta aim higher than the stars can reach
You ain't gotta act different when it comes to me
I believe in ya sista take a walk with me
Verse 2 -
Like pac said
The sweeter the juice
You're too deadly sis to go hang ya head in a noose
I know ya sick of tired of dealing with the drugs and abuse
You're to strong my sista you know
The deeper the roots
Black woman in a white mans world
It's tough
Being sexualized is all we've learnt
That's enough
You're worth more than getting treated like dirt
Show love
And give your sisters what they truly deserve
Respect
We sick and tired of getting treated as less
Saying that sex sells but I got no products for pests
The way you treat your woman has you looking real oppressed
She got her lore you got yours it's time to have it addressed
If she stands with you than stand with her,
Cause handing down this healing is the bigger picture
Got nothing to do with your sexual preference,
This is about our solidarity that's getting questioned
Verse 3 -
Don't be shame sis
Let em know what's up
Pave the way for your babies so they grow up tough
Aim higher even though you grew up in hard knocks
And show ya babies what it feels like when you truly are loved
And let me tell you somethin'
You ain't defined by your past
They tried to judge me for it
Look who gets to have the last laugh
Cause I go hard,
Throwin stones surrounded by glass
Won't get you no where
I ain't even ashamed of my scars
I'm a proud black sista
So don't ever get it twisted
They was aiming at my downfall but they missed and turnt to misfits
I'm really quite exquisite
And my sisters keep it busy
We rockin out our culture
With our elders as our witness
Let me
Break it down so you get it stuck in ya head
A black woman raised you so don't you ever forget
And I ain't baggin out my bruvas, my bruvas are warriors
But if ya can't respect ya tiddas don't expect us to honour ya
🔥🔥 thank you Titta ❤️
Sweet! 🤟🏾🔥

This brought me to tears. I’m so desperate to connect to country and culture. I’m on a journey to find out about my great grandmother and why she chose exemption (the reason I’m so lost on this journey).
This song gives me strength n hope that I can reconnect as my spirit yearns n hunger’s for connection to country n culture.
Thank you Barkaa for such an empowering song.
I’m from New York, so I’m not super educated in aboriginals in Australia, but I’m glad this came up in my recommended!
consider this song the start of your education. it’s very representative of the struggles and resilience of Blak women.
Start by replacing the word Aboriginal with Indigenous Australians or Frist Nations Australians, or even the name of the indigenous nation the person is from.

Conversely sacrificing ourselves in the service of a system that does not value our growth and oppresses us, is not a sustainable practice. Consciously protect your physical and mental well being. Renew. You play a critical role. I give thanks.

I love this sis makes me proud, makes me feel more confident about our Culture 🖤💛❤️
Deadly sis 🖤
That's good sis, your culture and our ancestors before "colonisation" was beautiful. You should practice it and be proud the oldest culture in the world. 50000+ years untouched by the outside world. You should try to learn a bit of your tribes language or learn some stuff about your tribes culture. We can't let our culture and people be assimilated.🙏🙏
This deserves much more recognition. Your really good with rapping and this song is so damn catchy that I’m going to blast it in my car ✊🏽

Quote from house party
Without confidence you have lost twice in the race of life. With confidence you have won even before you have statred.
Marcus Carvey
We lost a warrior today. Our baby girl had too.much pain.. I'm using your words to ment my heart..

This song makes me feel so strong. Thanks sis ❤❤❤❤
I only just discovered you and this song but you're amazing, thank you so much
Listened to your two mainstream songs you got!! Well done, keep it going, as someone who saw Joyner Lucas and Dax and was on that train wayyyy before they blew up, i feel it with you, keep the meaningful songs, wicked sick flow, clean and flows smooth!! Amazing beats! Got nothing bad to say. Respect from an Indigenous Canadian.
Love this so much 💖 As a light skinned aboriginal woman I'm constantly told by people that I'm not aboriginal because my skin isn't dark enough. It's led to me struggling to feel like I belong and so seeing this video with all of these beautiful aboriginal women of all different skin tones being accepted for who they are and being proud of who they are warms my heart, it's so beautiful to see 💖 These words shook me to my core, so real and honest, everyone needs to hear this it's so good 💖
I've been told the same thing. Be proud of who you are 🖤💛♥️
❤️🪶
I keep coming back to this song. It's so powerful and it grooves so hard
Amazing, you have so much raw talent. These words are so powerful and made me tear up. Thank you for being the voice that's needed ❤💛🖤
Preach
I love your work Barkaa. Thank you. You’ve brought me back from insanity a few times 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️
YES 100%!!! I am from Pentlach we were absorbed by Komoks after our Grandfather died we had no male heir and then the hereditary families of Komoks started claiming my Grandfather's story and even getting their most educated to tell University of BC that my family is dead.
I want to raise a totem pole here telling the story of all the lost people to Blood Quantum and Colonization. I'm excited to see if Komoks Band will let me do it on our land or if I have to talk to a gatekeeper or just straight up sweep my story from under my own feet to raise their own egos. I have been threatened by the hereditary families for speaking my truth as well. Being a woman in my world means you're treated less than a dog.
Wow 👌
Just found this. Powerful stuff! I grew up in Sydney. It's so great to see and hear this, a breath of fresh air. We need to hear more indigenous voices cut through the dominant white culture, especially women! .May your music and message travel the world over!! It's not only relevant to first nations people everywhere but also for us non indigenous in colonised lands who should listen up.
I don't think I'm saying anything new when I say how great this song is
Here from the UK with a long appriciation for good music
