People in Europe seem to touch wolvesbane where as people in America do not. Maybe it is a different species that only has poison in the roots in Europe I was poisoned by aconitum by touching it far less.
Not sure how deep you are planting them, if there is any growth showing have that at the soil surface. Otherwise 4" (8cm) should be fine. Regards Gardenville

Guys the roots are poisonous there is variety of it were flowers are not poisonous and other variety which flowers are also poisonous
No, all parts of ALL Species of Aconitum contain the extremely toxic alkaloid "Aconitine". The roots are simply the most toxic part.

i thought with Aconitum carmichaelii all parts of the plant were poisonous/toxic, and that when handling you should wear gloves really?
