I was working in Baluchistan in Nosratabad about 100k NW of Zahedan from 1978 to 1980, the head offices for the project (Shurgaz/Zahedan/Mirjaweh Highway) were in Zahedan, it still looks much as I remember it although the streets are now much quieter. Back then, every shop had a 'beat box' blasting out 'Tandoori Reggae' turned up to eleven! Seeing those tubs of spices and sacks of chillies out on the street brings back memories of the aroma. Nice video, thanks.

Oh wow, they're wearing Shalwar Kamiz, just like Pakistanis. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was a city or town in Pakistan. Viva cultural overlaps.
Its called perhanwaTunban, These clothings are/were very common throughout the old iranian tribes. The reason you have these clothes is because of the Turkic-Persian Mughals, Afghans and Persian influences in South Asia.
@Feysal2710 You are incorrect. These clothes originate in Pakistan, not Iran and not South Asia. Had they originated in Iran, you'd have all the Iranians wearing them, which you do not. It's the opposite; all Pakistanis wear them and only the Iranians who live in close proximity to Pakistan wear them. Perahan simply means shirt in Farsi and Tumban means pants. So Perahan Tumban isn't the real word for this clothing, its just a Farsi translation for it. In Urdu its called Shalwar-Kamiz, just as in Pashto its called Partoog-Korteh. The Turks never wore this clothing and the Mughals neither wore this clothing, nor were they Persians. This clothing originates with the Bactrio-Scythians who originated in Pakistan, originally called Sakistan, and later persianized to "Siestan". Read your Shahnameh and you will see that the country of Siestan (Sakistan), lay in between india and Persia and all the heroes of the Shahnameh were from there; they weren't ethnic Persians. Also old Iranian and old indian texts both describe the "Saka" as living between Iran and India. Greek documents such as the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea and the Ptolomey world Map show the nation of Scythia (Saketa) where Pakistan is located. So this outfit comes from Pakistan to eastern Iran and not the other way around.
@@omarutmankhel4343 Search for old photos of Punjabis , Sindhis, Indians, Hindokowans, and other Indian-language speaking groups. you will not find any peran tunban in them (peran tunban what we wear now). And what you said about Scythia that was 100% right. so you are right indeed brother. But Scythians, Bactrians etc were an Eastern Iranian tribe. They were the Ancestors of the Pashtuns (We speak the eastern Iranian language called Pashto). It is indeed Pashtun clothing that passed to the people of the Indian-continent, because of the influence of Pashtun empires.
