"None of your business" - Britney Spears Ducks Justin Timberlake Question in Resurfaced Clip (2002)

- On 25 March 2002, Britney Spears was interviewed by ITN ahead of the UK premiere of her big screen debut, Crossroads (dir. Tamra Davis). As well as talking about her reasons for doing a movie and how it felt to see herself on the big screen, Spears also found a tactful way of declining to talk about the media's interest in her private life, in particular her break-up with Justin Timberlake, who Spears had dated for three years.
Among the revelations contained in Britney Spears' memoir, The Woman in Me (published 24 October 2023), are details of Spears' relationship with Timberlake. Specifically, Spears candidly recounts having an abortion during the relationship, and how Timberlake broke up with Spears with a two-word text message after Spears kissed her choreographer, Wade Robson. Elsewhere, Spears discussed the 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father that led to the high-profile "Free Britney" campaign to emancipate the Mississipi-born singer.

OMG when she said that she couldn't relate to Lucy, because in the movie, her mother abandoned her, it made me feel so sad because her real mother really seems like really she ended up really abandoning her a few years later and was out making them a book, while her daughter is going into a conservatorship, and ironically, while she was trying to get out of a conservatorship in a desperate way, her sister wrote a book as well both of them trying to profit off of Britney her whole family profiting off of her using her as a slave it's just so sad
Don’t forget Lucy dad in the movie was controlling just like Britney’s dad ended up doing to her in real life but yeah the mom definitely abandoned her becuz she didn’t stop the father for controlling the daughter

the way she was in her prime was not real tho she had to act like the perfect barbie doll all the time because she lived in her america dream image and thats why she also broke down in 2007 she also said in her book because people wanted her to act pretty sweet and good for them all the time and she was just a people pleaser you can also tell because she is talking in a baby voice and she acts less smart than she is

She is so beautiful ugh I just remember having heart eyes anytime I saw her on screen & as someone who was inspired by her - no matter what she did or said and still does! I still love to sing my heart out and I’m actually not that bad 😜 but it’s like The 8 or 9 yr old fan comes out of me whenever she blesses my eyes lmao it’s so nolstagic ❤ she really left an imprint on her fans and it shows still to this day!

I swear, Britney was and is the sweetest celebrity to have ever lived! So humble, beautiful yet respectful! Then the media, ex’s and family destroyed it so unfairly! How could that be possible to someone that nice!? Instead, the world should of have protected her. I’ll never understand!!
Money and jealousy would be top of mind. She wanted love and family from an earlier age and was so honest with the public everyone tried to capitalize from/on her. I’m sure people knew more about her than herself and they used that to their advantage to get ahead and use her. Saddest part is that it was her own family that hurt her the most. None of her actions deserved to lead to the conservatorship. And they started it with NO PROPER PAPERWORK and checked she had dementia and the rest is history. Now she’s been damaged for 15 plus years from that time, on top of the trauma that was probably already there from being one of the biggest celebrities to even live. We’re lucky to still have her ❤

The only reason Mariah Carey movie flopped becuz of 9/11 and how the movie n the tragedy happened the same month and year and no one was worried about going to the movies at that point but thankfully Mariah got her soundtrack to glitter hit number 1 17 years later becuz of justice for glitter hashtags and the fans
