Definitely one of the best climbing gyms I have visited in the US and great company! Unfortunately there was something wrong with my camera so I had no audio the entire time, which is why I had to make this into a Q&A:)

This was a really cool way of doing a q&a!
Usually I am not a fan of q&as cause they can be so slow paced, and what ever is going on in the background doesn't really matter or if it does you can't follow it properly.
But the way you intercut questions with commenting on the boulders made it so that it was possible to focus on both the q&a and the climbing

    • @DavidEnBerr
      @DavidEnBerr 4 роки тому +35

this made the q&a feel very interactive as I was just listening to it while watching the moves on the boulders!

Organise a climbing trip to Scotland (VERY WEATHER DEPENDENT) but Dave is behind some of the most famous climbs established in Scotland, around Dumbarton Rock and in the highlands. I think that would make for some really interesting and entertainment content for both of your channels.

If there is one thing I can tell you for sure Magnus, it is that neither Adam nor Alex would find it silly to be in an indoor climbing video! Adam uploads videos of himself bouldering indoors on youtube or instagram, and the more technical and difficult the boulders are, the more excited he is :D
And I think the same could be said about Alex. They are competitors, find them some nice hard boulders and a few "cool" boulders that are fun and I´m sure they would join you happily :) they are also both very relaxed so I´m also sure some interesting discussions with laughter might come up :)

Went looking for this suggestion, completely agree. You could do the rock bouldering you mentioned, I think that's also his cup of tea.

Despite the added work and challenge of doing a voice-over, I found this video actually more engaging than the typical video, and dramatically more than a typical Q&A. Excellent stuff Magnus!

I love to see more collaboration with any of the regulars on the Bouldering Bobat channel. A session with Xian or Tom would be awesome. I like the whole crew but it feels more personal when its just 1 or 2 people max, so thats what id like to see.

For all the time you invested, you should realy be proud of the end results. As said before, it is extremely easy to follow, nice balance between the q&a and the comments! I'd happily wait days for a high quality video like this one.
Oh and thanks for popping my question aswell :-)

You're so unique man. It seems like your methods and ways of doing things are very individual. Probably because you've always just done what feels right to you. While it makes it work not so great for other people it definitely is how you can continue to be happy.

To get into doing hard projects and still doing consistent videos, you could front-load a bunch of content and have them queue to post while you're projecting and then put small videos of your progress in between posting videos you already have done. It would take some time to prepare but I've heard out many youtubers doing something similar while going on vacation or taking breaks. I think it would be a great idea.

I enjoy your channel quite a bit, and you've been an inspiration in my climbing. I like that you've opened yourself to being more than just a "climbing" channel but an aspect of what you enjoy as a person. I've been watching a lot of other climbers at Fountainebleu and I think a video of you checking out the boulders would be fun and people here would like it more than you give them credit for. In the end, I'll be stopping by again when you upload again. Take care, CHEERS!

Hey magnus if you read this I just wanted to say that I'm a 12 year boy and you inspired me to start climbing 3 years ago. I realy loved your videos so I got realy serious about the sport and was getting realy good. But About 4 months ago I stopped watching your videos and lost my love of Bouldering. Around 5 weeks ago I started watching your vids again and since then I've gotten back into climbing, working out and going to the bouldering gym more often so thank you. Ps your vids are great I've gotten my freinds to start watching you

First time commenting, I really appreciate the time and effort of this voice over Q&A because your fans got to know you on a personal level. I love this. And your chemistry with Anton is definitely something we all fans love - it has this Jedi Master and Padawan feel (&vice versa). Please never stop making videos! I do miss those collaborations with Eric Karlsson! More power to you man & I bet you'll kill it on the next Ninja Warrior!

Thanks for putting in the extra effort! Great video :) Btw: i really liked your previous projecting videos. It's not the most entertaining thing to watch someone fall on the same move over and over but the people you were with always generated an interesting narrative and the overall realxed vibes were great.
