Curious: in Germany Nijmegen (Dutch) and Nimwegen (German version) are used each seperately, but not together, but apart .... ? Many of the German names on the last stretch are more Dutch like Kempen, Wachtendonk, Kerken, .... But this part of Gelder(land) used to be under Dutch influence ....

Yea it’s a bit inconsistent, same with Arnhem / Arnheim.
