Without the shadow of a doubt...Eric and Bill (and Mike) were the best decisions Neil has made for this band. Not only did GOD bless him with incredible musicians, but amazing peeps as well. Add this song to everything he has done in the opast 3 /4 years and holy shit...some of the best music I have ever heard. Just mastery of craft in spades! LOVE THIS BAND!
No doubt Bruce, I've been playing guitar and singing for almost 55 years and ever since I heard Neals band it just took me somewhere fresh yet familiar and like you said he definitely has the perfect choice of musicians who also sing which makes this music remarkable in epic proportion! I wish they would come closer to Louisiana I would love to see them!
Sorry we missed the one show in UK, saw the band in Birmingham on the Similitude tour and loved it. I think this new album is even better. Quality through the whole band, Neal is a true genius, love him, his music and his God!
I think those So Cal dates have come and gone, my friend. Unless someone can persuade the guys to give it another shot after they get back from Europe.
So grateful you put this out as a "single." Best song on "The Great Adventure" to introduced the Great Unwashed to the band. Which is just what I'm determined to do!
Great song! Great band! Greetings from Argentina. I think you are the "Dream Team" of prog rock, and with a perfect mix of paticipation of every one to give to the album a "never boring" feel. Thanks for your great job!
Seeing them live in London, I wish they had played somewhere easier to get to from Exeter. Did see them on the Similitude tour in Brum. Glad you enjoyed it, so many don't know what they are missing.
This song has been written from Mike Portnoy to Dream Theater...Other than the lyrics being quite clear, in this videoclip you can see a case from a distance first, where is easy to notice the Majesty symbol under the Dream Theater line and a bit later that very case is zoomed in order to show the line " I spent 25 years in" ....Did nobody notice that??
I completely lost control when I heard this song live. However, the video here is too short: the guitar solo is missing. The most precise and emotional piece of music Eric ever did - especially with the chord change at the end
It looks so weird when the audience is seated during a show like this! Although, it *_is_* a long album, with extra songs in there too. :D Where was that venue?
I know! It was like that the last two times I saw Neal Morse in Denver. They provide seating and everyone just sits. It's like they think they're at church. I was front row both times and was one of the only people standing, rocking out and air drumming the whole time. Portnoy tossed his stick to me about two-thirds of the way through the set, and it's obvious why: It's a frigging progressive rock show and I know it's not exactly inspiring to the performance for the audience to be so low energy.
@@reshpeck yep it was like that in London last time around, although the way the band especially Neal worked the crowd was incredible - I was egging him on lol 😉
@@SkunkAdelic Neal is a true professional and absolutely knows what he's doing, that's for sure. I'll never miss one of his shows and I'll be standing front and center every time; I don't care what anyone thinks about it
Wow!!! Is it my imagination or were parts of this recorded on Sunday at the Islington show? We were standing outside and could see and hear this being played and we thought it was just a warm up before the show.
@@qwantinmoe6215 no you arrived at the right time I could hear the sound check in Chessington (2006!!) just a few minutes before people began to enter.
No one will be standing at a Neal Morse Band show! It's just like going to church, which is what you want at a rock show. Very uninspiring to see that in a music video. I don't get it; the last two times I saw Neal Morse in Denver, everyone is just sitting the whole time, except for me, where I'm standing at the rail and air drumming and rocking out with abandon. Portnoy tossed me his stick about two-thirds of the way through the set because these guys are not exactly having the most fun time performing in front of a low energy crowd, I'm certain.
I've even skipped a Steven Wilson show last year because there were seated tickets only. Got lucky this year, saw Wilson with a standing audience and will see Neal Morse Band next week, also standing!
@@waldwuffel1260 The first two times I saw him he was at The Soiled Dove and that has reserved seating but a general admission area right in front of the stage. By far those were better shows, and not because of the guys on stage. Reserved seating for rock shows is absolute nonsense.
I try liking this group but I just cant get into it. Why do they need Portnoy? Mike is my all time fav drummer (by a mile). I just wish Mike wasnt in this band.
@Carlos Guillén There is nothing stupid about it. The singular topic that Neal has been going on since he left Spock's Beard is a huge liability. He could be so much more and instead chose to be a progressive rock Reverend, preaching the good word all the time. I can see how that drives people away. It did with me after a while. I just only recently came back after 12 years of absence from his music because I checked out the SOD album and thought it was one of the best rock albums ever. And it is not too specific about creed and uses a relatively broad idea of God, which made it much more bearable than for example "One", which I always turn off after "Help me".
Eric is a beast!
The Great Adventour: Live in BRNO 2019
Great
Definitely one of the top songs on the album. Eric is such a great guitar player and singer! Love it.
And to top it off, he's also a great drummer :-)
Great great great song!! Perfect feeling, top Eric vocals!!
Neal's ability to magically switch between guitar and keys instantly is freaking amazing :)
A musicians musician
He casually switches to a double guitar as well haha
Lol
Genius

Epic.
Eric needs more vocal parts... (and Neal needs more guitar leads).
Man... We need another Neal Morse time here in Brazil. When will you guys come back here?

Favorite song on the album! It was truly amazing performed live.
just when i think i can't love these guys any more than i do?
this.
Eric plays and sings great as they all do, but what a band !!!
Really solid. Can’t wait for so cal tour dates
God Bless you All
I think those So Cal dates have come and gone, my friend. Unless someone can persuade the guys to give it another shot after they get back from Europe.
Love you guys !!!!
Why cant we see these guys in the states? I dont have a passport and couldnt afford to go overseas anyways. Neal has been my fav since Spocks Beard.
If that's the tour bus at 0:07, I'd hate to live in that thing for 3 months...
I listen this every days, more and more..... 😍
Weird how Eric sounds like NEAL. Such a talent. This band is awesome and necessary
Great song from an amazing album! Eric's vocals are wicked good here
I loved this album 👏👏👏
Tilburg was great!
WoW
Eric even sounds like Neal, is he cloned? Lol wow these guys never disappoint!

Thank you Live The Neal Morse code band, Very cool
Eric is just amazing. Love this song and his performance in particular.
I was at this Whittier, CA show as well as the Glendale, AZ show. These guys absolutely kill it live! Must see show!
"The bearded ones"!😉 Great to see you next week in Hamburg!👍👍👍👍
I love Eric's vocals. He was amazing yesterday in Tilburg. He should definitely sing more! ❤️
Love this!

This has been my immediate favorite on the album. Fabulous guitar work by Eric🤩😍! Love that Mike's Mickey has a guest appearance in the video😄.
Neal’s slide guitar is great, too!
Só faltou o solo do Eric no final.
👏👏 grande álbum!🇧🇷
Just returned from 013 Tilburg..... amazing show.....transcendant and glamourous. Thank you guys so much for your healing music. Keep on going!
That's in Whittier, CA, I was there in the crowd. AMAZING show.
I thought it looked familiar I was there too. What an awesome show.

The single best thing in the new album is that Eric is getting a much bigger part (both vocals and guitar).
A great decision.
The Eric Guillette Band jajaja Joke, excellent song, excellent record
Fantastic track, one of many on an excellent album.. and such a great show in London!!

Just wondering about a Dream Theater's hard case in the background (17s)...
Late reply, but it probably belonged to the drummer Mike Portnoy, who was, and now is again a member of Dream Theater
Mike has a little helper. Bassdrum or microphone waggle? It's nice song. Btw.
