The biggest problem with cabover vans like the Hiace is that they’re absolute death traps in frontal crashes.

Happy with my one 2009 petrol gas auto , just changed front brake pads at 164000 km , went and bought Toyota same ones again this time, changed oil every 7000 to 10000 , trans I changed at 100000kms and diff oil, I run japan tread as well sumotomo tyre, hiace or nothing, if your tight and basically dumb u will go euro

2 dislike about the hiace...the differential...its easier get stuck.. when u try to get out... it just selects the least gripping wheel...really need a button to lock diff when needed..
And very light at the back...seen tradies struggling to get up hill reversing...
Be cool if the build more with slide down windows like normal cars windows for the slides...

Take my word for it, The Renault that is also badged up in Europe as a Nissan and as a Vauxhall/Opel is a terrible vehicle, they are unreliable and have a very poor build quality compared to the Toyota, The Hiace Mk5 is not available in the UK because of the EU. they wanted a Euro-van and this is the rubbish we got.

@@TheHumanlpod LDV V80s fall apart alot quicker. Many people have had them and they fall apart in the first few months. The British built ones which were sold as the LDV Maxus were very reliable but the Chines built V80s are very poor

@@terrificspokesman7416 All vans have reliability issues, because of cheaper parts (plastic). Chinese parts are cheap, Euro parts are very expensive.

For real work horse hiace, but if you care about looking good while working with your toxedo, then look somewhere else. My uncle's 2005 hiace still work beaut no problem what so ever.
