  • Hey guys, today's video is about riding on a specific Cross Country Train that weirdly runs down the Snow Hill lines, this information is also said in the video, this Cross Country mainly runs every 2 or 3 hours between Newcastle and Reading, most Cross Country Trains that head to and from the South Coast of England usually go on the West Coast Mainline (WCML) between Birmingham New Street and Coventry before branching off after Coventry to go down WMR's Nuneaton-Leamington Spa line, before joining the Chiltern Mainline at Leamington, However this particular service doesn't, instead it adds more traffic to the Trains between Moor Street and Leamington by branching off after New Street to go down what's called the Camp Hill line, and about a quarter of the way down the line, there's a curve which leads to the Snow Hill lines, which allows Trains to travel from New Street to Leamington via Solihull, Dorridge and Warwick, skipping the WCML, I knew this service existed but I didn't realize until earlier this year that this service goes on (somewhat) my local line, anyway, I went on a Cross Country morning service on 6-11-23 to see what it was like riding a Cross Country Train down the Dorridge Branch of the Snow Hill line, hope you guys enjoy!
