Wow, I loved this episode. Before this, I had never seen Robert outside social media and I had no idea he was such a great host. I loved the interview with Dan Okwiri a great recontour and I could have watched it if it was longer. KQ did Dan dirt despite working for them for 25 years and taking care of the Doula catastrophe. Looking forward to his book.
Mr. Okwiri has a heart for service. You gave families closure and even when KQ did not appreciate and compensate your effort, life has a way of rewarding people. I wonder why as a nation we love mediocrity. We lose out on the best brains and retain boot lickers. Who bewitched us. I wish you were made CEO, maybe KQ would still be the pride of Africa.
Embraer is Brazilian. Okwiri is a real legend, a real aviator. He is so passionate about aviation. The job you did for the douala victims only God can reward you. A real storyteller
Fantastic interview. Watched straight 1 hour 19 minutes and honestly wanted more. By the way does he not resemble like a younger version of our Former VP Moody Awori !!
I like the sruggles of Dan. Quite similar to what most of us are going through. The Universe shall conspire and reward you abundantly . I now have a country lodge to visit next time I am in Migori.
Actually it's a strategy to cement and cover up corruption, it's deliberately done to avoid accountability and transparency. That's why in a cabinet you find a PR expert in-charge of health and the same cabinet has a urologist in-charge of schools and learning institutions.
Dan Okwiri is a legend. Longevity and blessings galore. Such are the heroes of this nation. When true history of this nation will be written, you have already booked your space.
When the accident happened I was in class8 as an aviation enthusiast i searched every about it and KQ at large. I lost no one at the ill fated flight but I wanna thank you Mr Okwiri. Your good work will be paid back in plentiful.
Thank you Okwori for the great work you did, much appreciated. It's so unfortunate that Kenya and KQ couldn't recognize and commend you for the work you did in Doula. Such things make me not proud of my country Kenya. The west really appreciates even the little child who does the minimal which makes them believe in themselves and become big unlike Kenya.SAD!
Dan okwiri , our airline needs you now more than ever. With all this brains, experience and love for the airline please come back, and yet we are outsourcing for CEOS..(shaking my head)
Mr. Dan Okwiri's story is just inspiring! Despite the ups and downs he's made some lemonade out of it. All the best to him. Thanks to the Audit team for such refreshing content!
Was just passing this story but today I have seen and hard it Mr Okwiri you're a hero you have done so much for kQ than even the then CEO Naikuni we celebrate you
Nice one Mr. Alai & Okwiri. Very relaxed and engaging conversation. Organic scenery of granite rock seat & lake background. This good use of 1h19m30s of my time.
What a story.Companies, Bosses and management loose the most supportive ,hardworking & creative employees due to jealousy, politics, witchhunting. I blame the HR. In kenya the HR body needs to pull up their socks. I love the word he used Independenceship and not enteprenueurship. Very engaging. Lots of lessons learned.
Am enjoying the show ...loving the view too coming to kisunu dala soon wow 👌 👏That air crash was very sad I was in maseno boarding school when I heard about it n then years later I managed to watch the whole thing in UK aircrash investigation on NatGeo.. The whole thing was so sad the pilots caused it but it us passed Bless him for sharing 🙏
People put their trust in so many things, their jobs, their money..the first place we are to prosper is in our spiritual life. Sit and reflect on life itself, you will learn that nothing happens by chance, nothing goes for nothing
Alai I wish you'd let the interviewee explain every point without trying to assist them because when you do so they easily can loose their point. Just ask a question and let him talk it through all alone.
And we wonder why all parastatals in kenya are on their death beds. Appointments are political. from the ceo to board members are given jobs as a favor but not for their skill sets. These appointees who have no clue in running businesses are just there to get a salary and bonuses. Then they fill the parastatals with their tribes men in positions that they have no clue about frustrating the work of those who have experience. The experianced ones then leave due to frustrations. This is what happened to Okwiri
In my 3rd university I was attached to an aviation state agency and one of the guys blatantly told us that we would never get employed there no matter how brilliant or hard we worked during the 3-months period. The corruption, tribalism, and nepotism stench from parastatals and state agencies in KE smells from afar
This is what kills Kenyan firms. KQ could have gained from this brains. It is not what you know but who you know that gives you jobs. May be one day we will wake up, hope not too late.
terrible interviewer this guy Alai is. Let the interviewee speak for Christ's sake. why do you keep on interrupting him? you want to speak more than the guy you are interviewing? bure kabisa

Much respect Mr Okwiri, you are a true hero son of Kenya, you did what many many could not think of.Be blessed mightly.
Embraer is Brazilian. Okwiri is a real legend, a real aviator. He is so passionate about aviation. The job you did for the douala victims only God can reward you. A real storyteller
This is one of your best interview so far 🔥🔥 I love his insight.
I felt it when he said, “The way I leave today is the same way you’ll leave”. Corruption/evil has no friends, it never spares anyone.

Kenya has this habit of spitting out the best of the best and sustaining mediocrity
Sadly I agree with u

They can’t allow him and we know them but a day is coming
Loved this to the very bit!!
I watched from the start to finish. I'm inspired. In fact, I intend to visit the resort soon
Mr. Dan Okwiri's story is just inspiring! Despite the ups and downs he's made some lemonade out of it. All the best to him. Thanks to the Audit team for such refreshing content!
Dan Okwiri is as eloquent as they come.
Hey Robert and Dan, thank you for the inspiring conversation. I hope to visit Migori soon
Was just passing this story but today I have seen and hard it Mr Okwiri you're a hero you have done so much for kQ than even the then CEO Naikuni we celebrate you
Dan Okwiri is a sharp guy and have learnt a lot from him as a startup newbie. May God continue blessing your hustle Mr. Okwiri.

Nice one Mr. Alai & Okwiri. Very relaxed and engaging conversation. Organic scenery of granite rock seat & lake background. This good use of 1h19m30s of my time.

A big fan of aviation, big fan of Dan okwiri, and I can't say no to good story...

All the best okwiri
Man of intelligence...A perfect one to be the ceo....
Paul Kasimu, the then KQ HR is the current Safaricom head of HR Right? Watched him pale engage and I'm Disappointed in him
People put their trust in so many things, their jobs, their money..the first place we are to prosper is in our spiritual life. Sit and reflect on life itself, you will learn that nothing happens by chance, nothing goes for nothing
💯
There's so much rot in the entire tourism industry. This should trend. Period.
Keep Quiet Mr Alai....Let The Professor Talk....
Alai I wish you'd let the interviewee explain every point without trying to assist them because when you do so they easily can loose their point. Just ask a question and let him talk it through all alone.
The minister of transport was the theatrics Ali chirau makwere (makelele)
Methink brains don't retire KQ should hire him as a thinktank.

Sad!
Alai knows the story more than the interviewee! 😁
Brains. Then the politics of day choose to stick with headless chickens till we lose it all. Good vibes @Dan and Bob.
Haha hiyo jua inamaliza Robert Alai
Watched Dan's story on The Fall of the Pride and now this: really sad.
Great
The English 🔥🔥🔥
Omera Ja Nyando Mr Alai Your Interjections Are Too Much Let The Subject Talk Just Nod And Let The Story Flow.......Pliz Werikode Olos alosa Bed Mosss.
Catholic parochial is not in down town Nairobi.
My understanding since he was in uptown St Mary..so parochial in the CBD is down town..literally too you come down to the city centre
This is what kills Kenyan firms. KQ could have gained from this brains. It is not what you know but who you know that gives you jobs. May be one day we will wake up, hope not too late.
Is Dan related to the other Okwiri at Airtel?
Mike yes his brother the socialite hes mentioned
This Is Why A Luo Should Run This Country For Two Terms To Clean The madness in our governance
🙄🙄
Gods among us
Listening to this, I will never fly with KQ again
terrible interviewer this guy Alai is. Let the interviewee speak for Christ's sake. why do you keep on interrupting him? you want to speak more than the guy you are interviewing? bure kabisa
so true.
He did the same for Shaffie, if he gets to read this maybe he will adjust
Too many interruptions.... Why does the host want to keep adding useless information?
Embraer are from brazil
Alai mentioned Canada..Dan is too sharp to know Embraers are Brazilian
Burnt all the money 😂😂😂
English 👍
Minister was chirao Ali makwere
Tarus Nakuni...top dollar wen'ging 😂😂😂 I thought he went to school in 🇮🇳?
You're disgustingly interrupting him when he's answering
