For both my children in the labour ward when started with the pain, I have sang songs and told the verse that i knew which was a greater strength for me. Whomever i meet i always give suggestions like this as it has helped me and my children to grow in the Lord.

First few days it's better to use cloth instead of diaper just to count the urine becoz to find if the baby is getting milk... Once after knowing baby started gaining weight... Diaper for sleeping ...

Pls carry old cotton saree 1 or 2 for delivery, bcos in hospital they ll ask for soft cotton saree for normal delivery and for baby.. As everyone said take plate, tumbler, silver kinnam, spoon, vessel wash, soap for u and attender, towel, flask, kettle, 2 extra blanket for u or papa and attender, charger, some music or books if u love to read ..Take a seperate bag for reports, files and hospital records. Take a bathroom or hospital slipper seperately, few extra studs and hair bands.
For baby take feeding pillow, soft cotton towel to wrap or wipe, quick dry sheet to avoid wetting, soft cotton cloth(from old sarees) for initial few days mainly for baby meconium ( first stool of a baby) it's easy to dispose and skin friendly for baby.. baby bed on ur bed will be more comfortable to keep baby protected and support ( this ll be helpful at home too).. Once baby born getting baby blood group and immunization chart is more important..
