Food and eating is a major issue . Every religion has taboos and prescribed code. They shoukd be allowed. Hindus associate food, eating, food cooking and preparation are sacred issues. Muslims, Christian’s or other religions must accept and respect and refrain from participating in any aspect of Hindu food hygiene. It’s just like Halal for Muslims or kosher for Jews.
It’s great that this issue is being debated and hopefully resolved. Politicians should refrain from taking positions and provoke public.
If I am eating outside the house, I would like to be able to see food preparation across a glass wall, product or method of coming I. E satvik or not, shudh or not. Pure vegetarian vs non vegetarian, onion and garlic free or not. It’s all about hygiene . Muslims should not touch food served for Hindus and Muslims should not hide ownership and market food as Vaishnav or shudh.
In the meantime Hindus should boycott eating outside and carry their own home cooked food. Hindu families should start providing / catering Hindu food similar to to parikrama.
Boycott all food serving places hindu or Muslim which do not guarantee, healthy, clean, uncontaminsted and hygienic food. All restaurants must be required to put up signs as to purity of ingredients, type of oil, hygienic practices, cleanliness of the toilets, utensils, etc..
