I am a Chinese. Now I have finally found out what Thao Nguyen Xanh means. It is literally the Vietnamese equivalent of 草原上（Cao Yuan Shang）in Mandarin, or over the grass pastures in English. If you write this literally in Korean, you will get Cho Won Sang (초원상). Thao = Cao草 = Cho초, Nguyen = Yuan原 = Won원, Xanh = Shang上 = Sang상. But the original name in Korean of this was 저 푸른 초원위에, which means over that green pastures. Very very beautiful piece of music. 감동시키는 음악 입니다.

I agree with you, it may be because too many memes and funny videos use it, so in my case, when I hear it I remember the funny jokes and laugh instead of getting sad or melancholic, the only time I faced this contradiction before was with Bob Ross paintings, he made the "happy trees" stuff on his show and tutorials, then everyone imitated him, then I saw the copies of his paintings everywhere, and so I stopped seeing them as unique and cringed, it was like a worn out tire that stopped moving my emotions in the correct way
