Great effort, such a remarkable single handed everything. This guy, regardless his Borat accent, is a "puntal". Couldn't have a better introduction to a boat than this.
His "Borat" accent (and I agree) makes this so enjoyable. It takes away the whole fancy side of boating. He's presenting a passion more than a ship. Very good stuff.
Right, it's a fractional gennaker of 64 m2. No, no furler. We drop it the classic way. On so small boats handling of the gennakers is still way easier the classic way, without any furlers.
@@Pl3vn1k Thank you. I ordered a 60m² new A3 with a sock for my 25ft little racer. Your two presentations (First 27 and 27SE) are probably the best sail boat presentations I've seen on the net meanwhile. They were so good, I rushed to Boot Düsseldorf where Beneteau presented a First 27 :-) Fact is, that boat is great ... and very small for that amount of money. It's still probably doing much better what 80% of weekend sailors are doing: small turns in a reduced distance from the harbor. And she' sure doing that in a faster, cheaper and much more exciting way. But it's not a caravan. And fact is most boats are used for that purpose in the end. Only the Dehler 30OD beats it for me. The 30JK, great looks and ideas, is definitely not as exciting and still not a very comfy one either as too packed. With some spare bucks, I'm think I might crack for this one. Planing at 16nots! What can you desire more for a short weekend ?
No, upwind we can't beat the physics and it's still a displacement boat where BS is defined by the hull length. So target speed upwind if around 6,4 kt.

Love the detail in these videos. I really hope these new SE boats are good sellers in the US. We need something fresh in the small boat market.
Gdje se može isprobati u Sloveniji ili Hrvatskoj?
Fantastic video! So this was with an (invisible :-)) asymmetrical spinnaker of 64m²? Impressive. Was it mounted on a furler?

How fast will this boat go by 10hp outboard alone?
Max BS with 9.9HP is 7,2 kts.
upwing max speed? can it plane upwind??

Maybe a stupid question, can this cross the pacific ? I am still learning
@@merkhan It's Class B boat, so up to 600NM offshore, but not across the oceans.
The 360 view is cool on ipad
I will still call it Seascape.
