You know, that's the point of what we do, how we grow. That's what gets me exited. I went through something similar back in April with the solar eclipse. But the thing is we shot a VIDEO! I was Sooo out of my comfort zone it wasn't even funny. I wasn't going to post it here on UA-cam but when my dad died around the end of March just pushed me in that direction. It was far from perfect but I'm fairly sure that we where the only ones who did it with a Nikon 1 j3 and the 50 to 200mm from my D90 adapted to it. Had to adjust the camera on the tripod like a million times. Great video man! Keep on rockin.
@infinitypanther I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I can just imagine how many times you'd have to reset the camera position for recording video. Doing video of the event is great idea though!
Hi Kobie. Thanks for posting. You didn't mention explicitly which lens you were using (unless I missed it), but I'm assuming from the EXIF data it was the FA 150-450 F/4.5-5.6 DC AW. Were you tempted to add the 1.4x teleconverter or was that ruled out as it'd prevent you getting enough images for the composite?
@@mosfear Yes, it was the 150-450. I could have used the teleconverter, I just didn't think of using it at the time. It's always that darn hindsight lol
@@KobieMC Your next one is due March 14, so here's hoping your night skies are clear for a repeat performance. lol. (I'll have to check Photopills for my best location on that date).
Thanks for another cool video Kobie! You've inspired me to try some photography outside of my comfort zone too.
