These are beautiful. But there's something you know that ties it all together. Just what kind of vinyl is this? When you say print on "clear vinyl" then use "white vinyl" behind it, you must know of a family of "vinyl" used for a common application. What are these materials? And just what kind of place is a "vinyl graphic shop", soething automotive? something else? I'm making an electromechanical arcade game and need to have quality backlit graphics. Thanks!
Do you know the name of the Adhesive. I see you use water to activate it. Can you use a regular printer to print on Vinyl? Like a inkject type. Maybe I could print it in two parts. Just a thought.
Most of the smaller vinyl graphic shops local to you will print what you need. Just tell them you need it printed on backlit vinyl so light can shine through it.
I needed like 5 risers. The cost of the risers went from upper 20s/30 bucks each to ridiculous prices. For the cost I was able to buy a table saw cheaper and the MDF and do it myself. Now I have a table saw that Im going to use to make some shelves etc. I also need to make a few lit marquees - maybe ill be buying a printer well see.. LOL.
yeah the image on the clear is also adhesive vinyl. If someone has a printer that can print white then this entire process is not needed, then its just one print. But since my printer does not print white I have to do this in two steps.
@@Arcadeskin Do you have a link to the adhesive vinyl you use? Is it better to use clear vinyl or white vinyl if you want to use it for a backlit arcade marquee? Thanks for any help you can provide.
@@THEJIG-IS-UP I just stumbled across this video, I work at a place that makes 3 types of adhesive vinyle for inkjet printers. Try looking at Breathing Color for Silhouette Backlit Film and Insignia Scrim Vinyl, I must warn you though, the rolls are expensive.
Nice video, but what type of vinyl/material do you use to print the design for the marque? Thank you!
One more subscriber here, I like the way you did the marquees !!
Thanks for Marquee video.
Hi, excelent vídeo. The white Vinyl is bright or opaque ? Thanks a lot
what clear vinyl did you use? i have a large format hp but i cant seem to find any clear printable vinyl that works with inkjet?
What kind of printer? Ink jet, color laser, sublimation dye, cricut?
Rick, how would in make my own custom design marquee?
Can you place the links on where to buy the items used to make the Marquee I think everyone is thinking the same

The water doesn’t activate it. It just allows you to move the vinyl around before you stick it
What did you add to your Tron game to make the colors change?
Very nice. How do I make my own marquee if I don't have a Roland printer?
