- The FishLab Roller Bag has been very popular over the last couple of years. In fact, you can jump on just about any sport boat in California and see at least a couple of these bags. They come in a small and large size and are very convenient in getting your tackle from the car to the boat.
We at FishLab have listened to the comments and requests and have made a few key changes to the further production of these bags. Such as increases strength at the bottom, reinforced shelving and the Velcro enclosure along the top front flap.
In this video, Dave walks you through each of these changes as well as shows you all of the great features and components of the FishLab Roller Bags.

I really really like these upgrades. Okuma listens to it's users:)
Love it Dave I'm going to need one of these. My last one is at the bottom of the ocean lol
Just picked up the larger one for an upcoming trip in June and going through moving all my gear over and finding the 'right' place for everything.
Several things have me stumped.
1) On the back side near the top (both sides) in line with the Velcro rod straps are are plastic circular clips/mounts ?
2) What is the purpose of the Velcro flaps on each side that cover the plastic rod holders ?
3) Under the flap in #2, on each side, there is a pocket with a strap/Velcro ?
Overall I love the bag just trying to make sure I utilize all the 'features' correctly ;)
Also, I was on the Okuma 3-day last summer on The Excel. Great group including the crew, nice selection of SWAG and of course great fishing...
Rather have storage pockets on both sides versus rod holders
agreed 10000% (if fish lab is reading these comments!) from my personal observation, 99.9% sport boat users NEVER put their rods into side pockets. When and if you're going on the sport boats rods and reels are heavy and usually bundled separately. I personally use SPJ super super light rods and even then I wouldn't put them into the side rod holder pockets because it just doesnt sit wright and would wobble like antennas. My main purpose is to carry variety of SPJ jigs, which creates a heavy shoulder load in typical carry bags. Roller is the way to go. The bag its self have nice intuitive design and purpose. Price is reasonable vs. other brands and etc.. As you pointed out, side pockets would have been more VALUE!
Love this Bag. Been on a couple of trips and the Rod holders was the main reasons I got this. I use to put my rods on the boat racks, and while changing set ups my rods will be 1 here 1 there 1 overthere. I hate that. People end up putting there rods where you had yours . No big deal as the racks are for everyone , But Now I just keep my rods on this bag. Always in the same spot and easy to get to and change out. And rig in the same spot. And also No more carrying your rods to the car or sit separately. Just slide them in and velcro them in and roll away. Very convenient.
