Man, I would love to have the chance to take over a track! Kids are crazy today man, I think some of this new generation is crazy too. I wish I could get my car done before it's too late. I want to preserve that lifestyle by showing my love for it in the car I drive, and hope that never dies!

That's good shit My Dad is John Gaskill. He and Nord Krauskoph opened K&K insurance in the 60's. It started with insuring dirt tracks, then Nascar then NHRA then everything that drew a crowd. Nord actually owned the 71 Nascar. Anyways, these little tracks were my Dad's bread and butter. Dragstrips. Ovals. etc... It is very sad that kids are not into cars anymore and that these tracks are all fading in the wind. Those were some great times. We were lucky enough last year when our track was shutting down in Wichita somebody stepped up and re-purchased the lease on the lamp and opened it back up
And making massive amounts of upgrades that have been needed

We " had " a Track here in Ohio that was for sale. The Triple F collection bought it and are redoing the entire Track and area with in the track. They haven't decided yet if they are going to open it to the public or use it for their multi million dollar car collection and friends. And then sell it at a later time

The biggest thing I miss after moving out of OKC is being a "member" of the 405. It was always cool occasionally seeing one of you guys around town.
I will say that that guy Farmtruck swapped hats with looked good in it. It's like Farmtrucks hat makes you better looking. I gotta get one lol.
Anywho, I may not live in the 405 anymore but I'm always team 405! Any chance you two are going to build a new car and compete in NPK, "The Original List" and "America's List"? You guys have the driving talent, you need the car/s!
my dad went there..I was going to but I am legally blind right now so wouldn't have seen anything to good but hopefully I can get this fix and can go next time ya'll are back there..

Glad to see the tracks that are still open going strong. I’ve been around cars and racing since I was a kid, and it’s sad to say that a lot of the younger generation isn’t into cars and racing like we are. Love the npk shows and the fact you’re highlighting the locals, you guys are really helping keep our lifestyle beating and showing others how much fun it really is. I used to attend the spring nationals there at the trails every year back in the 80's when I was a kid, haven't been down there since, I need to get down there soon
Love that track. I'm not a racer unfortunately, but loved going to it when I younger... I did get to drive down the right lane once in a S10 Blaser not much horsepower but 9000 watts of stereo....

Yeah,....pulling under the tower to enter the track is quite the experience. I imagine its similar to walking into The Colosseum in Rome as a gladiator. Ok,....that maybe a stretch. But very cool nonetheless.

The closest race track to me got bought up...then they tore it down...to have a fair ground for big concerts here. Burls creek event park.

I'm sry the owner was incorrect about when NTR hosted the "spring nationals" I failed to mention in my previous comment that I posted in the last video I had worked at NTR for the final 3 years that NTR had hosted the spring nationals and In 1972 the facility began hosting the NHRA Spring Nationals which continued through 2006. I just wanted to clarify that information for everyone and I had even moved to Wyomissing PA to help work another dragstrip with my former boss from NTR at where you have already visited "Maplegrove Raceway". Beautiful place to work at and how much the sound echoed through the mountains and valleys was awesome. I hope that I am not stepping on toes and pissed someone off. 😒
Yes Maple Grove is a very nice track !! The only thing I dont like about it is it's a 2 1/2 hour ride to get too from N Y !! English Town was another nice track and only 1 hour away but the owners caved in for the $$$ !!

Once talked to a farm couple who's land was being swallowed by urban sprawl and asked if they were broken hearted. They in fact said they were overjoyed as the price they were being offered would allow them to buy almost twice the number of more productive acres in a more rural location - something they had long dreamed of.
You guys need to come to keystone race track in new Alexandria pa
I think part of it with buying these tracks up is that the people coming in to build there house and live there won’t have a loud ass race track running all hours of the night to. Farm ground will get bought up after I’m sure.
The local track here shut down. Palm Beach International Raceway, formerly MOROSO. So crazy that it sold and the land will be used for something else besides racing.
Its nice to see you guys care about the future of the tracks. Asian is right too the government wants them shut down due to the clean energy and tax breaks but if they shut these tracks down it erases the past of many racers and the future of racing. Keep fighting for the future of racing fellas. God bless America
I had a gout flair up in my left index finger one time. Lasted for weeks and sucked bad.
I got the same problem with my pointer finger. I cut my tendon and they did a surgery to fix it and I had to wear a splint and now it's curved just like the split was. I can make a fist but can't open my finger straight out so yea work the tendon and don't put it in a brace
Don't it feel good when your fingers hurt, and it's starting to heal and then you bang it again right on the same spot and it rehurts it a little bit worse
I did that to mine maybe 10-12 years ago and it still bothers me hell sometimes it goes numb .. sucks
listening to the owner and automatically thinking of how Cleetus does it managing the track AND racing and all the other stuff he does on top of it

Here’s what’s going on. You probably tore the tendons. If it heals straight that’s a good thing but now you have to work on bending it. If it heals bent or if they put it in a cast bent it would’ve healed bent, you probably would’ve never straightened it again.
