Na na b.a.ts na na… Such a great show gentleman and again you brought up some great interesting information. For me growing up in suburbs of melbourne in 86 me and my best friend (still friends today) Nathan and nearly had falling out. At time most our friends were into transformers so was Nathan but he did enjoy joe too. However the problem was Nathan loved the bat because they went with his transformers and there was me who loved the cobra viper from same year because they look more like a soldier. We would debate in school yard in the our backyards etc. The funny thing for my birthday he got me bat figure and for his he got the viper. He had two bats and viper in his army and I had two vipers and a bat. So when overkill got released it’s was certainly an interesting figure and by this time my friend Nathan wasn’t into joe no more. But when I showed him overkill he certainly thought it was cool. As I gotten older I grew to like the bat and now I have quite few in my collection. So I don’t dislike the bat infact I grew to love the bat and I think it certainly iconic and unique beauty.
One of the most iconic ARAH figures and the best Classified figure, IMO. The OG BAT was actually my first army builder as a kid, long, long before that concept entered my older mind many years later. My brother bought me one for a birthday and the next day an unknowing friend gifted me a second. One had a paint error: his belt buckle was unpainted.
I can see Cobra making excessive use of BATs the moment they got them out of development. Living troops need to be paid and want to live, two things that make them less than ideal for fodder and suicide missions. If costs can be kept down, they would be a devastating advantage for their forces. They also can be replaced faster than a human soldier, but are less versatile and cost more up front to build.
For brute force operations they can’t be beat! It’s definitely a subtle McGuffin at the heart of GI JOE that something so sophisticated can be made en masse cheaply.
@@stevecherney1612 yes! Several. I find a clear drying Elmers glue is the best option for resticking. Anything harsh like a superglue could ruin the sticker.
"The BATS! The BATS! We're the BATS!" 🎼🎶🎵
BATs was my first figure when I was 4 or 5. Love G.I.Joe ever since.

Heheh. I’ve got one with that “error”! Only this one probably had it painted before years of rough play took it off!
Great show guys I have always loved the Bats!
Really valuable figure
For the best of my recollection bats are black and gold accents.
Great job tho!

B.A.T.S. Are still the best 💪🏻
@stephen: I believe the source you refer to where it is explained Destro can override the BATs, is the Cobra civil war story arc in the ARAH comic.
Ron’s got my back! So not obscure at all then! But at least I’m not going crazy 😅
The answer is yes, yes it is. When I was a kid I loved this toy. I would use the claw to pick Duke up by the neck!!! Cobra!!!
Jay B.A.T.S. 😃
The best BAT would be a v2 with the v1 paint scheme
Genial programa saludos a los tres🇪🇨🏴☠️
Gracias!
1986 figure is still the BATS....I mean the best!
Have you had any B.A.T.S have their hologram fall off?
