That was funny... What a confusing way to introduce the poor boy to Queen!! And I adore the little guy😊. He says 'girl' just like my Uncle Artie from Jersey City does. 'Goyle''. 😃
And the fact that the little boy made thought it important enough to comment on means that these things actually do matter to little kids. I remember when my daughter was little and there was a couple people she could not tell if they're a man or woman and it was really unsettling for her. There's something about the psyche of young children that makes them want to categorize who they're dealing with. It's part of every human's mind but it really matters to young children and helps them feel out who they can trust. All this gender-bending is really upsetting for them as a matter of programming. They just come wired that way, No offense to anyone

It's unfortunate that songs are now first judged by the visuals of a music video. This one was an homage to Coronation St., a British soap opera that had been on air round about two decades. The boys dressed as favorite characters from the show, The parody was well received in the UK but Americans had no frame of reference for the joke. MTV took away the video from American airwaves which hurt, not only the sale of this beautiful song but also Queen's standing in the US. Additionally, this was the second Queen video that MTV censored, the first being "Body Language". Check out their 20 minute "Live Aid" set from 1985 for a great intro to Queen or "Somebody to Love" 1981 Montreal. Thanks.

So maybe a little background … You need to understand that this video was a homage to a well loved TV Soap opera that was and still is very popular came out in the 1960s… it was actually one of the bands girlfriends who suggested it ….2nd , the history of England’s stage and theatre when way back hundreds of years ago women were not allowed on stage so men played the woman’s roles .. even now we have Christmas Pantomime with Family audience participation, and where the Dame is a man dressed as a woman and the principal boy is a woman dressed as a boy …is all meant to be FUN just tongue in cheek … but when the video came out Americans just did not understand our British sense of humour … sad!!!!

I liked Queen a good bit for their 1st 5-6 albums, but after that they just became s/thing else. By the 80's it was so much pop, lowbrow crud I couldn't listen. I get it was also about Mercury being more comfortable with himself and reflecting it in his songwriting and performances. But this was just very poor taste for me.
