In our club matches ( EBAS ) 50 years ago all our matches was rovers and after 2 hours you could leave your peg and rove , and if another angler had left his peg to take a wander you could sit on his box and fish his peg 😂😂 great fun and we all have our favourite peg on any venue so you could draw the last walk off and still get the peg you wanted, great way of match fishing and you can’t blame the peg for not catching as you chose it lol👍

If i was fishing a rover match regular at a venue i would be walking round that venue with a paper and pencil writing down my favourite pegs on different lakes in order of preference so at the draw i would know my favoured peg and how I'd fish it for that day's conditions. fish rovers at patshul on wednesdays sometimes, really enjoy it , when there’s 6 to 8 off us , you should pop down rob ,bring your slider 😂😂

I dont use any other reels to be honest. 8+1 bearings. 50 to 60 quid. Your pole Rob looks like mine after every session coz I use paste lol. You even have the same stop watch as I - Rob you been spying on me lmao the only difference is you catch fish. I realy wanted the Middy is it the xk 65 but they went bust so I couldnt get one.

Rovers are just pointless. The minute i don't know a venue very well and the draw is a rover I'm out.
