Japanese food is actually quite expensive in malaysia compare to japan but yea people still like to go to eat japanese food. Because we love japan lol.

What I think the price from Msia compare to Japan ramen both are almost the same, ramen from as you can see the price at the machine some is 800yen, 1000yen, other than that is add on extra ingredients. Convert to myr is around rm30++ - rm40++. Maybe expensive at Msia is the gov. tax and service charge then only abit pricey.

Price is almost the same in Japan, it went up to RM100 because of Gyoza and 2 cups of tea (RM5/ea wtf?), look at the breakdown at 7:53. In Japan the tea is usually free, and lunch promo usually have package with Gyoza and fried rice.

Price are actually quite normal , most ramen places in KL is around RM30 a bowl, which is about 1k Yen. I had lots of ramen in Sapporo around 900 to 1.2k yen depending on the toppings.
Don't compare to our street food hahahaha.

Just finished eating Mie Sedap Mee Goreng Noodle with Japanese Sawi + Spring Onion + Hard Boiled Egg at home probably cost me RM2.50. But eating while watching ichang & Jimmy eating RM100 noodle makes me feel even better 😆

Try Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen in Pavillion KL, it’s cheap and if you order the rice set you can unlimited refill of rice, miso soup and vegetables ! Must try their udon and Chicken set!
wongcalvin73 if you like Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen, then you should try the original Tonkatsu from Japan which i feel nicer... located at Publika Mont Kiara, 163 Mont Kiara, One utama isetan & Main Place USJ. After googled, the pavilion one is created by Malaysian.

Makes me wanna try this ramen but seems expensive. You can also try Menya Shi Shi Do ramen at Jaya One, Jalan Universiti Petaling Jaya. It's owned by a Japanese. Very yummy too, and pricing is cheaper. During weekday lunch time it comes with free green tea. Take care!

The ramen shop you visited is little bit on the high end so it's more pricey. Normally ramen would price around rm 25 ++ to rm 35 ++.

You should take a ride down to Klang and try the legendary Bak Kut Teh here. Guaranteed the best soup based food you'll ever taste. Klang is 35-45 mins away from KL without the jam.

When looking for a shop in malls, it's easier to find if you follow the shop number. The numbers can be found in the mall's website directory and on the information directory board in malls. When you have the number, just look it up as you walk in the mall. The numbers are usually at the bottom corner of the shop signage. As the number gets closer to the shop number means you're getting closer.

Was just about to introduce this shop too 😍 queue can be long but table turnaround is fast though cos people normally just consume ramen and nothung much else so can be fast 😊🍜

well for comparison , a basic no-frill beef ramen from Sushi King is around rm16-19

Jimmy is just like me and my family. We would go eat at Yoshinoya or sometimes Carl's Jr. or at the Food Court or other eateries at Mid Valley which all these are situated at same floor as Bankara Ramen (3rd floor). And then after eating, we'd stop by a bakery.. except that for me and my family we'd go to Komugi or Aeon's La Boheme bakery. We'd buy some bread and pastries for next morning's breakfast.

Damn, RM100 for 2 ramen? Thats super expensive. Even nakiryu tantanmen the michelin star ramen shop in tokyo cost around 1000yen which is RM 39.++ Per bowl.

Can't compare like that..the ingredient to make the dish totally 100percent from japan so they pay tax and transport for that item

This is my hubby favorite ramen restoran 5 star for the food but the price is singly too high for me... rm100 can buy and eat so many other things. But good experience and good food.
