If you just have 1 unit I would use a ice bank used for cooling beer lines/towers. They have a recirculating pump with push fit connections, temp settings and are pretty low on power consumption. Just a thought and they are a very reasonable price.
@@cryptojnke1297 located in UTAH. I’ve had them up for about a month now. I have 2 crates as well. I hate to say it but bitmain really screwed up the water towers on these. It’s a nightmare
I assure you you can order a single unit because I did exactly that. I didn't realize what I was biting off. I found a LIAN LI 12000W cooling rack, but I haven't yet figured out how to power it. :-P
@@Pacificatorrr I'm still working on it. I believe my LIAN LI cooling rack shipped with a defect, but I _think_ it's going to be straightforward to resolve. Basically, there's a DC transformer that powers the electronics and pump at the voltage they need, and I _think_ the wire has jostled loose in mine -- it simply doesn't power up when switched on. Won't know until I get into the insides, and this is Comic Con week-end, so things are busy right now. :-)
@@logiclrd I would love to read more about your progress. I order one myself (S21 hydro) and I’m about to build the cooling now. Plan is to use a set of EKW 560 radiators, but I’m not sure yet how many I need. Also I can’t find any information on the power connectors. I have a 380V 5-pin 3-phase outlet in my house, so I hope to use that, but without UPS as these cost about 5k USD here in Sweden. Delivery of the S21 in April, so I have a few weeks to arrange for its arrival 😅 I do not hope to make money, just break even is ok. Everything else is just a bonus, as I do this for the fun of it, and some to pay back some that btc have given me so far ❤ (holding since 2014).
You've touched on alot of good points. I have a background in water deionization for power plants, and yes, bad water quality can bring an entire grid to a hault.
Indeed ! It could interfeer with the type of metals used inside. There are good liquids to use, and non conductive ones for the safe of the machine and all electric system and dont burn facility down !! 😄
Good video. My miner has red blinking on the first right signal where the short 4 hoses in & out. And machine is not mining properly. Do you know why it happens? 😅
Never liquid cooled a computer before? lol No one uses water... they make coolant and other types of liquid. You will need a pump, reservoir, a large radiator and fans. As long as the pump and radiator can handle the amount of heat produced then it will be very easy to have a few of these at your house. You brought up a car, think of the heat they create from exploding fire. They are kept cool with coolant, radiator and fans lol.
I am sorry to disapoint but its very easy to use it at home. Besides you dont have to run it in water, thats a mistake in my side of view. Maybe the hardest point is the 3phase ps and the consume for home use. Dont forget that is the consume for a the MINER ONLY ;)
@@aaronendo8150 right... but where are you going to find a 6000w water cooled psu that has a variable voltage control that works with bitmains control board?
So my take away from this is these are gonna be the kinds of people that can afford to mine bitcoin in the near future, where the hardware and computing power demands are gonna be so high, you will need a capital of over a million dollars just to get started. Most likely it will be big corporations or institutions that can afford this and will have the proper facilities to mine Bitcoin. It will be out of the hands of the average person.

This really did burst my bubble. Was writing up a plan to have 2 of these at home. Oh well, not meant to be!
Use them like a boiler in a new house.
Bitcoin heated floors, driveway and showers. 6-8 could heat alot of water.
This video is professional. I like it!👍👍👍
I have 2 of these crates. No issues at all with electrical standards or getting permits on the grid.
Hey Michael I have two units coming in how long have you had yours up and running where are you located

They changed it. Was different before
This is the only solution I'm seeing, did you manage to make it work?

@@kitewinds663 Lucky guy :-) I do not have 3-phase power :-(
The water is called deionized water.
Thank you for saving my time
Good info. Thanks

Exactly the data I needed!
Immersion cooling seems better to me... Anyone running immersion cooled miners?

great video
Really love your mic! I want to buy one.
If is stopping because of Power blackout, it will start automatically when power is restored?
Was considering it for the lowball price
Do you have recommendations for sound dampening a single miner in a house
What kind of unit? S19? The Upstream data black box is a great solution
I would love a bitcoin fish tank with an s19 ⚡️
Thanks 🙏
Hows your diaper when was it changed last?

Gov and county regulations are a pain
Exactly. River and streams will be protected from water usage as well
Not to mention these require a 3 phase hookup.
That is the PSU's voltage requirement. If the PSU gets swapped for 240v it would work on 240v.
@@aaronendo8150 right... but where are you going to find a 6000w water cooled psu that has a variable voltage control that works with bitmains control board?
good subject. also the electricity. you need triple phase to run those bad boys.

muskminers ripped me off! be careful dealing with these guys
How so?
Please speak on the reasonable life/profitability span of an S19, especially with the halving in 2025. Is is still 2 years?
Thanks
Why can’t I just run a single unit
Hard water will calcify and rust them up in no time lol
There are air cooled cars.
YUGE!
Boom!
this guy is so cool, haha i can use holy water? hahaha
You are just making it sound like it is impossible to run a single unit
i can run one unit of s19 hydro at home? ill use a water pump or something come on G
So the answer is :"Nope, you can't run it at home" lol
Have a great week ahead guys
For now:)
BS
It’s been 2 years since im using it at home
After the halving those units will be useless. The S21 is far more powerful.
This all video is pure nonsense and totally wrong
Too much talking
