No driver assistance kit must work with the navigation system, however, the car goes no where if the driver has zero engagement. That's why the Tesla FSD has to work with the navigation system, just like you have to tell the taxi driver where to go.

@@Kendal1999 yes, with BMW you do not have to press resume button in a traffic jam as long as you keep your eyes on the road but still you have to keep hands on the steering wheel. Every car in such situation can restart the driving when you push a little bit gas pedal. I use "res" button in my movies to show there is sth. what the driver has to do.
This is basically adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist and low speed follow for traffic jams. That traffic prediction part it's bs, it doesn't predict anything lol just reads the signs, cars from 2012 can do that
My B8 drives exactly the same without travel assist and only acc and lane assist, predictions of the speed limits are map-based. The only difference is the touch and not force feedback for the steering wheel. So, IMHO, it is just marketing speech for the goal of adding another checkbox in the configuration.
VW system is really nice. And very good video. Kudos to your bravery in testing 😀
Wow 16:51!!!! the car did ok on the corner apart from that section.
What's the best line assist you tested for long drive (does Lexus is the best) ? thank you !!
i try lexus it's very good keep line but it's not staying 10 sec at traffic assist like VW a
How does in compare to the BMW's system?
Have you watched the test of BMW's systems? :) ua-cam.com/video/4T6v5hoX6R8/v-deo.html
@@1001cars is all bmw has the same system ?? is BMW has the best control than others ?
Next version needs to be able to go completely handsfree as long as you look at the road and also be able to stop for red light and do tight corners
Would love to see the same test on the iD.7 !
I will try to prepare such movie.
Does it work only with navigation? Meaning you have to set a destination or no?
I strongly recommend you to watch the very first seconds of the movie. Was the navigation set on? :)

Why doesn't it change lanes by itself? I saw it can't handle roundabouts too😢. What about T junctions or cross junctions?

It depends on a road :) Are you asking about city or highway driving?

BMW is the best in traffic jam assist. Watch this movie for example: ua-cam.com/video/4T6v5hoX6R8/v-deo.html

Touareg probably has different system, similar do Audi Q7 and Q8, also: A8, A6 and A7.

What’s the file consumption? Can you pls make your typical video on it ?
Fuel consumption? I linked it in the end of this one.
Its the same like on Golf 8 or Octavia A8 😐/// I was waiting for more from B9 platform.
No lane change assist ?
At least in tested car when I used turn lever nothing special happened (lane assist turned off and nothing more)
