For most single Marines going into recruiting duty one of the major problems is finding a place to stay and being independent. I can remember when I was on recruiting duty in Los Angeles it was hard to find a place and when you found one you didn't have much time to fix the place up because we were working six days a week at times. Recruiting was very demanding in the early 2000s. The most common problems I had In recruiting were applicants who couldn’t pass the ASVAB, they were not citizens or they had felonies. I would do recruiting duty all over again. I had the most good times. 12th Marine Corps Recruiting District.
