Revisiting this in April 2022, two of my most fave Duran Duran songs. I remember them performing this at the gigs here in California. It was the only time I cried from my core at a DD show. As others have said, it would be awesome if they performed "Palomino: with "Winter Marches On" again.
For those who keep asking, there's two spoken word pieces that play in the background during dongs on this tour. During the show into prior to "Big Thing", the piece is called "God (London)". The spoken word section before Winter Marches On is "This is how a road gets made". Both are available on the 3" CD Single for "Do You Believe In Shame" or on the "Do you believe in shame" 7" Triple pack (very hard to find).
Such a great version.... I remember listening to this track in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1986-1987, and just thinking of the white landscape while being in Africa, with lots of sun.
Very cool set that you posted! I wish I had seen this particular concert--the two songs go well together, and that back-up singer...who is she? She looks familiar and her voice works very well with Simon's. ♥♥
Finally someone who knows the title of this poem. ill try to find it online. but if i cant; would you be kind enought to send it to me. Thank you in advance.
@koos72 I agree with you about Notorious but Big Thing just a few good songs. Anyway I think that after Notorious too much changed in their song composition and unfortunately just some songs are worthy.

Simon's hips are quite mesmorizing
Io c'ero, ma Simon non era in forma.
