Thank you for your reaction to Nemophila. Kiss is a 4-piece band, so SAKI, the guitarist, is wearing face paint of "Jail Jail Ohashi", the guitarist of the Japanese heavy metal band "SEIKIMA-II", whom she admires.
I was able to see KISS in 1996 during their tour where Peter Criss and Ace Frehley were brought back. One of my guitarist friends called me out of the blue and said his dad had an extra ticket to the show. I was seventeen and not really a fan of KISS, but it was free and I had heard KISS shows were spectacles. I had a great time. They came back around just a few months ago after three postponements, but I didn't go because of how Ace and Peter have been treated over the years.
Love this cover! Love that they usually try and pay homage to the original artist in makeup, wardrobe and dance maoves. They go the extra mile and that is why I love them... well, one of the reasons.
Kiss, I remember one halloween my moms co workers dressed like kiss for their Halloween party and of course made my mom “Gene”, every time the took pictures they kept telling her “stick your tongue out!”, it’s so classic
Nemophila is doing a 2 man with PassCode on June 10th at Zepp Nagoya. Nemophila covered PassCode's song "Tonight" to mark the occasion. It's probably the lowest I've heard Mayu's harsh vocals.
Sorry, no more Kiss covers... so far. I believe they painted each other's faces. There are tons of great covers. Don't neglect their covers of Japanese bands, Maximum the Hormone, X Japan, etc. as they are their best covers IMO.
I won't neglect them. In fact, when I do them, I'll probably do a reaction to the original as well because I probably haven't heard IT either. LOL Thanks!
@@GlassMoonGaming Reacting to the original first is something I've wished for many times but reactors rarely do. With songs from KISS or Iron Maiden it isn't so necessary because they're so well known, but some of the Nemophila covers are a bit more obscure (especially to audiences from outside Japan). BTW: There are several series of covers with guest appearances from old school Japanese lady bands from the 80s Show-Ya and Princess Princess that are amazing because these ladies are legends in Japan and still going strong with the new generation. Some of these guest covers were while Tamu was out on maternity leave. One interesting tie-in is that one of the guests, Princess Princess drummer Kyōko Tomita, is on the faculty of Tokyo School of Music where Band-Maid's Akane and Misa were students. Those covers with guests would be especially great for reactions to the originals. Looking forward to wherever this all goes!
Similar to a certain other band, besides their sound and talent, they especially seem to have the chemistry among themselves that can ensure a long successful career. Needless to say, I wish nothing less than that for both bands. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊

It took me a while to figure that out as she definitely wasn't wearing Vinnie Vincent's ankh or Eric Carr's . . . whatever he had.
@@PaleHorseShabuShabu I am glad your question was answered.
NEMOPHILA's covers always respect the originals.👍
I was curious myself. I thought it was gonna be Eric Carr's at first, but then it wasn't. Thanks for the detail!
@@GlassMoonGaming The band is the poster band on the wall where SAKI is when Nemophila covers the remote delivery.
