They seem to only use the music from the 2006 "pride" ITV1 ident. I think it would be better if the ITV plc regions had regional variations showing local landmarks on their idents.
That sounds like a brilliant idea! My home country who has calendar news should have shots of the humber Bridge,Jorvik museum, Elland Road, Betty's tea rooms and other remarkable places around Yorkshire. Where I live now would have shots of the cliffton suspension bridge, Taunton cricket ground, I can't remember what it's called but the white horse on the hill area, Haynes motor museum, ham Hill, some of our green buses, perry's cider farm, clips of the wurzels playing live etc...
We knickname them Jersey TV over here because they give more airtime to Jersey news then the other islands when they should be all equal. My dad was friends with Guernsey presenters Peter Rouse and Roger Bowns and they both kept saying they send plenty news items to Jersey each day and they never used them!!!
Jersey has KFC, Pizza Hut and McDonalds but my island doesn’t have any of that. Which is a pain in the ass. It’s like £140 day return on the plane there and very rare to get anything more than a couple of hours at most going there by boat. So not exactly financially viable to go there just for a takeaway 😀.
Hey, are you aware about Channel Television launching in HD on Sky and Freesat pretty soon? It is already broadcasting with the frequency of 11053 H 23000 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK, the SID (and the label as of now) being 20720.
@@2Draw I don’t know if I can. I used to record through a DVD recorder, so it wouldn’t be HD anyway, but I have no idea if it still works. I haven’t used it in years. I’ll try hopefully later in the week as I don’t have time in the next couple of days.
These idents don't really make sense, the 'logo opening out' concept was meant to encapsulate different emmotions that itv bring, but in these regional idents, there isn't much point for the logo to open out as it is just showing parts of the region, and not peoples expressions.
I presume that people in the CI'S can receive French broadcasts with exactly the same clarity of sound and vision as this domestic channel n'est- ce pas?.
I would have thaught that with france being right on your doorstep that reception a la Francais would be possible through a COAT HANGER!. It wouls seem not.
The French transmitters are focused to radiate their signal inland to France and not outwards to the Channel Islands. This is to avoid the clash with the Channel Islands main transmitter at Fremont Point which transmitters Freeview to the Channel Islands.

@@Connie_TinuityError Takeaways are Chip Shops, Chinese, Indian etc. Shops we have Iceland, Waitrose and Co-Op (local version but sells Co-Op brands).
