I have TON of respect for Peter Schiff, he STANDS on what he says and makes a hell of an argument. I completely disagree with hm, but admire his enthusiasm. Also you gotta respect how he knows more about bitcoin, stable coins etc than most people who hold bitcoin.

Peter can be forgiven for being wrong about Bitcoin for the last 10 years. Many of us were, but he was also wrong about gold for the last 10 years. That's just sad.
Thank you for your videos mate.. . Crypto education is what the world needs the most right now. I don’t think that buy and hold is a valid investment strategy anymore. Visited a history museum in Denmark this weekend. A Viking treasure horde was on display, about 4 kilograms of gold. The gold was around 1000 years old and looked pristine. Worth today: 325 000 dollars. The purchasing power was upheld for 1000 years 👍

Markets need skeptics to remain skeptical to still have opportunity within bitcoin. Once bitcoin becomes a mass consensus "Yes, Buy" trade, the gains will be long gone.

I like Peter Schiff for theoretical, idealistic way of viewing the world. It's good to know how things SHOULD be working but don't trade on that. If you want to make Peter's head explode, do it this way, "What's the problem with paper money"? He'll say, "It can be created at will by dishonest money makers". "Anything else?" , "No, not really". Well Peter, that's what Bitcoin is. It fixes that problem with paper money".

To be honest Peter is right. I never studied or paid attention to macro econimics and bought Bitcoin. Only after I got into crypto I've started to study macro, follow DXY inflation rates etc...

You can now build on top of bitcoin, the introduction of smart contracts , runes protocol and the rise of ordinals is already changing that.
Peter almost gets it. He's missing and never confronts the limitations of gold. Hard to exchange, hard to verify, hard to tramsport. If we didnt live in a global marketplace, gold might be good enough. That world hasnt existed since the 1300's.

8:00 ...huh ??? ...who said anything about Bitcoin being seen as a *_replacement_* for gold ?? My understanding is that its utility lies in its intrinsic use as (1) a replacement of *_fiat_* currency and (2) an *_alternative_* to gold as a store of value ...or am I missing something ?

What Peter is missing about Bitcoin is that sound money must be self-contained in its value, thus extremely difficult to corrupt. If you have a cryptocurrency backed by gold, it isn't self-contained - it's exposed to a completely different market and a compromise in gold value would also compromise the value of the associated cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin NOT being attached to an external source of value, but generating its value from its own operation and its functionality, is the whole point.

investing into bitcoin vs. gold is different, both have pros and cons DYOR - Bitcoin went up 90% this year has 20% corrections vs. Gold went up 25% this year has 5% corrections. New investors look at % gains. I am in on Bitcoin love the potential of the future.
