@@thusharadananjaya6574 No I keep the bottom heatsink there. It acts as a thermal funnel that focuses all the heat on the pad of the chip. I have the air wand approximately 2-3 cm from the bottom of the board but closer or further is ok. Just takes longer to heat up if you are further away.

Around 1:34. I have my right probe on the 1.8v and my left probe on the RO between chips 60 and 61. A good chain would show 60 on the tester but I had 0 so I knew the problem was between 55 and 60. I then try 56 which is good and 57 which was not good. So I know 57 was the first bad one. Hope that answers your question.

I can't remember where I was asking these questons-might have been on discord. Sorry if I bring it up in two places: You let me know that you heat the pad from the bottom, with the heatsink in place, through a hole in the table. How do you keep the heatsink from falling off?
Just surface tension....aka magic. Just make your hole as small as possible. I think mine is 2". And be careful when you move the board and everything is still hot.
