President Russell M. Nelson Accepts the Gandhi-King-Mandela Peace Prize

- Morehouse College, a historically Black school in Georgia, has given its inaugural Gandhi-King-Mandela Peace Prize to President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Rev. Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter Sr., dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, read a citation and presented President Nelson with the award in a pre-recorded broadcast played at an award ceremony on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the WorldHouse Interfaith and Interdenominational Assembly at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel.
“I can state without equivocation that God pours out His Spirit liberally upon all who seek Him,” President Nelson said. “God does not love one race more than another. His feelings of inclusion are very clear. As recorded in the Book of Mormon, which I esteem as companion scripture to the Holy Bible, the Savior ‘invite[s] all to come unto Him and partake of his goodness; … he [denies] none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; … all are alike unto God.’”
I love to hear this man of God speak. I am not LDS but have great respect and affection for LDS people and specifically for President Nelson.
President Nelson is an incredible individual and I love his humility and dedication to breaking down hate and racism.
As a recent evangelical brother and convert said, not since Joshua has a people of God been led by a prophet at the age of President Russell M. Nelson. Truly remarkable.

I can’t think of anyone more deserving to be recognized for their efforts to establish peace throughout the world! Once again, and as always, President Nelson demonstrates the true nature and humble leadership of God's Prophet to the world.
Though not imprisoned like Gandhi, King and Mandela, President Nelson could be ranked among these peace-loving world leaders for his cause to humanity.
I love that so many are recognizing how our living prophet has touched the hearts of so many worldwide. I love this example of ministry.

The award ceremony was filled with the Spirit, and it was such a wonderful example of breaking barriers and finding common ground. I love the focus that President Nelson is placing on the Savior's example of loving everyone and defying society's divisive and hierarchical way of treating people, by being kind and inclusive, making peace, and growing respect for all the people around us.

I witness by his example that he is truly a prophet. A person called of God I'll never forget when he said last Dec 2019 that next GenCon (April 2020) will be memorable and unforgettable truly a prophet is someone who have that vision of what's gonna happen in the future.
I am more than grateful to belong in the true Church.
God is no respecter of persons, all are alike into Him.
Those that feel antagonistic disrespect of another's heritage of any color, it's not just Caucasians that cause hatred to flourish, other's also see with blinders on and cause much pain and anguish to the pure and innocent. Those who promote discord do not understand God's creations and wonderful differences and question His wisdom in how He knows is right for each individual.
What a treasured moment in history for President Nelson to receive the Morehouse honor of recognition in God's behalf, for God is the ultimate Master and Father of all of His created children and desires that we have love one to another.
