Charlotte tilbury recommends you use your finger to apply the pop eye shadow colour not a brush so and you wont have the problem applying it and it looks amazing
hey! the pop of colour for each of the eyeshadow palettes are meant to be that way in formula bcos it was designed not to be really worn on the whole lid but as indicated on the back, simply as just a pop of colour. So with that in mind, only small brush strokes would really be needed :)
I was actually very excited for her products to come out here in the US. Surprisingly, I'm most in love with the eyeshadows. I can't wait for her matte lipstick line to come out here too
Ok so I can see a lot of people don't have much good things to say about the Charlotte Tilbury collection. I understand where some of the comments are coming from as I tried the contour and highlight palette, as well as the cream contour which were both not very pigmented. And due to having Olive skin, it didn't stand out much when I first swatched them. However I did end up buying the Glastonbury Matte Lipstick and Wonder Glow. I was extremely impressed by the Wonder Glow as it gave a very natural glow to the skin, instantly. It looked good both under and over foundation, to me that is a must buy product. In regards to the lipstick I bought I was pleased with that too. Although it was Matte, it was by no means drying and the pigment was also really good. On the whole I do believe these products may not be to everyones taste. I believe her collection is about keeping it natural and making it seem like you are glowing from within. You definitely have to learn how to use them. In my opinion it is best to go out and try these products before buying them. By doing this it will really give you an idea of how to apply this type of makeup and how to achieve a flawless finish.
The 3rd colours of the eyeshadow quads are best patted onto your eye with your finger according to Charlotte. I have the Dolce Vita and it is amazing!! Just wanted to make sure nobody worries about bad coverage with that 'pop' shade, it is fab and stays on all evening partying!! Great swatches of the other items too.
I've been waiting to see your video on this brand! Love the packaging of these products but I have yet to try any... The eyeshadow quads are sooo beautiful!

I have the sculpt and highlight palette and I adore it. Suits my skin tone well but I feel like I am on that edge of where it will show up and won't. Works as a nice subtle contour and the highlight, the HIGHLIGHT!! Next I may get the Glamour Muse quad. So pretty...

I got The Glamour Muse and I've really been enjoying it except that purple. I think it's pretty but I haven't tried wearing it yet. Id probably try and use my finger to apply. It feels like a cream. I got the lip liner in pillow talk and it's my new favorite!! Love it!
The palettes are interesting in that she helped design Tom Fords ones and they look similar in concept and in texture... some have that glittery shade in it, some of the quads don't have a matte shade but because of the texture and finish they don't look odd as a outer corner colour a lot like Tom Ford. laciena Like I mentioned in the video, please read the written reviews before making a final judgment. I'll be posting the blush review tomorrow. They're actually lovely and have good pigmentation--they just need a foundation to stick to. :)
The kohls pencils are very pigmented and once they set, do not budge. I also tried the lip cheat in Pink Venus layered under the lipstick Cochella Coral. The lip cheat gave the lipstick very good staying power. I actually forgot that I had lip swatched these and washed my face. But the lipstick did not breakdown. The lipstick/liner formed almost a vaseline-like barrier without being greasy. And even after wiping my face with a towel, they left a stain like effect on my lips. Haven't tried the blushes or eyeshadows, so cannot comment.
I feel like her eyeshadow formulas are not as creamy and soft as Tom Ford's. I'm thinking about trying the Bitch Perfect lipstick, but it doesn't catch my attention as much as Tom Ford's...Would you still recommend it?
I am over the moon that you have done a review on these! I've actually been holding off purchasing these until I saw a review that swatched the products accurately! And this certainly was good enough for me x lol im soo suprised with how sheer some of the lipglosses were and the grainy formulation of the eyeshadow, personally thats kinda put me off, which is a real shame as I assumed every product was going to be #PERFECT even though they are B E A U T I F U L S T U N N I N G G O R G E O U S items! I just cant afford to buy something for those prices that I wouldn't be 100% satisfied with yano? But I think im definitely going to purchase the sophistacate eye quad, the lipsticks and maybe the sculpt/highlight? But I dont know if im correct here, but the highlight looked a bit grainy to me too? Like as if you'd spot it on the skin almost, so I'll have to see! But having said all that I havent come across anyone who is dissatisfied with the products, so maybe I should just take the plunge! Haha Anyway thankyou so much for the review! Eye pencil chameleon and rock n kohl pencils are excellent stay put, love me, Brooke s perfect brow pencil, 1st love fabulous blush not as light on as in the compact and the bronze and glow is beyond words perfection. Magic cream is wonderful. Totally makeup junkie, but have switched to her line b c nothing else compares.
I have several of the products from this line....overall disappointing and not worth the hype or the price point. The colors are average, pigmentation just okay...These eyeshadows are in no way as luxurious as the Tom Ford. Also, her packaging feels cheap!!!! Looking forward to your blog review.
Hmmm..... I am actually pretty disappointed. The only products that really caught my eye were the shadow sticks and lipsticks... Everything else looked pretty hit and miss, which I am not going to spend high-end money on. Especially those chunky, flaky eyeshadows - looks like a glitter-in-the-eye, oh my god I am crying everywhere, sort of mess waiting to happen. Also, why would a makeup artist put shimmer in a sculpting powder? 0.0 Would be a really nice contour shade otherwise...

For the price of the items in this line, I'm expecting near perfection and nothing really jumped out at me except for the crayons.

I've got the Uptown Girl eyeshadow quad. I had the same issue with the glitter shade until I used Mac Painterly Paint as a base. It helped a lot!!

Dolce Vita and Bitch Perfect were my favs but it seemed like you really had to work the shadows...guess they're not the coveted "buttery" texture! ;p

Can get the same shade shadows in other palettes that are more affordable and same or better quality. Overpriced products in my opinion.
