A lot of folk just don't know about the real value of some presses over others, or some add-ons like bushings , graduated lockrings, comparators, at the outset of buying their equipt. A turret press with an extra head and shellholders is the same money as a Co-Ax for instance. That is hard to see and justify for a new reloader. Trimmers and caseprep centres are another one are another one, 3way heads are a great addon as a time and effort saver, or adding a caseprep ctr along with a regular trimmer.

Great video. I’ve been using the Hornady quick change on my rockchucker for years. And yes, index marks too. Easy swap. 👍👍

For the 750 just getting a tools head and caliber change kit is very reasonable. The little stand it comes with is really nice you just have a few of them lined up and if you get the powder drop too (If you’re using one) it literally takes 10-20 seconds and the dies never move

The Redding T-7 or Zero press (man that press looks awesome) both make repeatability easy. I currently reload, .380, .38 special, 9mm, .38 Super, .357, 10mm, 45acp, .44 Special, .45 Magnum, .45 LC, 300 and 8.6 Blackout, all on a t-7. If starting today, I’d buy a Zero press, but I much prefer the quality over quantity of reloads. Good dies are equally important as is a reliable powder measure, accurate scale and a set of Starrett calipers.

How do you change calibers on the T-7? Full turret change? Or some other quick change method?

I bought one of the Lee Breech Lock adapter kits for my RCBS Summit press. I had a hard time tightening the adapter into the counterbored top of the press, which was recessed 0.160". The hex head is only 1/8" thick, so below the surface. The diameter of the counterbore is 1 7/8" and the corners of the 1 1/2" hex head are about 1.690" I don't happen to have a 1 1/2" socket, but I doubt that even a thinwall socket would fit. I could machine the recess larger and get the socket but I haven't. The Lee Breech Lock Presses also have a spring loaded locking mechanism which locks-in the bushings, but this adapter doesn't have that feature. So, what I'm trying to say is "I'd like to have *that* money back!"

I you convert a RCBS press to the Hornady system, you should use a drop or two of WEAK Loctite to keep the bushing adapter from backing out when you go to take dies out.

I haven’t tried the tried the Lee Breech Lock or the Hornady bushings yet, I do plane of using them to see if there is any slop in the tolerances to see if it makes any difference in the sizing cases and in the way my reloads groups.

All my dies have lock rings, so every time I screw one in, it's already set. I don't understand why someone would buy bushings that do the same thing for more money. But each their own. Thanks for the vid.
