Cant really see put loads of older escort deisel back together with minor piston damage from striking valves ,easy to fit new valves get genuine Ford valves and setting will be correct as well
I'm not sure what the milage was. It was over 100000 ye sure they do have the same interval and even if they don't I would be changing them both together to avoid the tooth fairy taking a visit.
@@Neil_phoenix problem is even Ford garages often do not know that. I just ordered the parts for mine. There are quite a few videos on yt where people change the belt for a chain (double the price) which is a waste of money as the chain also has the ame service interval, 10 years or 200000km on the transit, less on the cars.
How much would you charge for a welt belt replacement on the same model as this, where are you based?

Thanks for the comment. The pistons were hit that hard they were cracked right the way through. Its had a complete engine in it.

Agreed it is a waste. As long as they are looked after they are really good vans. Its when they get abused they go wrong.
I do thew theses got away file piston head rebuilt back on been fine
Take it this doesn't work if the pistons is cracked through though.
Id put piston to bottom fill up fluid if when down then yes piston knackered if holed spun again that motor
