@@BM4949. Taylor was the go to guy on 3rd down in 2017. Next year it'll be Debo, Eman, Hurd, Taylor, Kittle, & Dwelly all healthy (fingers crossed) wreaking havoc. Nobody can stack the box vs that so the run game won't ever be shut down like it has recently.

I haven't been this happy about a win since the comeback over the Giants in 2002. Kwon out for the year. Staley back out. No Kittle or Breida. Tough loss on a short week. Running game nonexistent. Got it done. This team is tough as nails.
I am as well... this one was one that could have sent them into the 'downward' spiral... and they almost fell in... they clawed back out and when we get healthy... the better for it...

@@nickfoth8045 I don't know if I'd put guarantee on that, Robbie hasn't exactly been on fire this year but we had another chance and kinda gave them the game at the end that was a simple matter of overly aggressive play calling on our final series I hope KShan knows that and makes a different decision next time we're in a spot like that. This team is already way better than we were supposed to be, people are tearing is down because they know how good we're going to be for years to come. They know that, even I we fall short this year we'll be better next year and probably even better the year after that. We're coming up, the other powers in the NFC are on the downslope and they ALL know it.

I have been through alot of years with shit qbs and shit teams since i started to pull for my 49ers in the early 90s when i was about 10 years old. Theyve had good times since then (super bowl win and super bowl appearance) but lots of bad times with shit qbs and teams i am so thankful to have jimmy as my qb all these millennials who want to find something wrong with everything some reason to hate on everything kill me. This dude makes mistakes he literally just made his 20th start look at the qbs who arent as far along that have more starts...i dont see darnold putting this team on his back and winning like jimmy did yesterday...17-3 as a starter and already has 5 game winning drives that shows alot i seen this in 2017 when he first came hes calm under pressure when it matters most he did it against seattle too despite the loss he took them on that drive that ended in tieing it at 24 but we could have took the lead and won it there there was a drop on 3rd down (1 of the 9 drops in that game that killed us) it would have made it first and goal and we prob end up taking the lead and winning that game too. I like his posse when you gotta have it late on a final drive he delivers more times than not and i notice it. He needs to get better for sure needs to cut down on the turnovers but again half his picks have bounced off receivers hands this season and there have been multiple tds called back from bogus calls (one got called back yesterday that ended up a fg drive). And multiple int have bounced off guys hands. Some people just wanna hate on jimmy so they look for anything to discredit him. I beleive in him

They didn't have a choice. Jimmy was going to be a FA. The trade deadline was looming, and he wasn't going to sign an extension with the Patriots. Better to get something for him, than nothing. Sure they could have franchised tagged him, but then you're paying a huge one year sum for a backup to sit on the bench. And who knows when Brady is going to retire. They made the right call. And to be fair at the time, what Jimmy displayed was a very small sample size of good play. There was still a huge mystery as to how he would do if he got a starting job.
The Patriots weren’t going to pay a backup QB $20 million and of course, trading Tom Brady would have caused a riot in New England (even though Belichick would have done it).

Its the O Line thats making him throw bad. We need to beef up our O line ASAP
He just needs more games under his belt. Does a lot of great things, but just needs to get more consistent/ reduce mistakes. Hes under more scrutiny than a lot of other qb's. Garopollo was criticized for looking nervous in OT last game (which he did), and people saying he gave the hawks the game. Wilson literally almost gave the 49ers the W in OT, yet a missed field goal reinforces him as MVP. The league runs on this or that narrative to increase ratings. Niners don't seem to care about that though.

it's been tough. everyone is just stacking the box and selling out vs the run. without Kittle it's been harder to make them pay for it. protection hasn't been the best because of all the turnover at the line. once guys start getting back healthy and we get some consistency our offense will get rolling again - they aren't going to be able to do that anymore.

we traded away our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for Dee Ford and Sanders. So the biggest question is the 1st rounder. That's a tough question. The future at Tackle looks covered with the emergence of Skule and Brunskill. The emergence of Witherspoon and Mosley seem to have covered our need at Corner. We don't need a QB. We don't need pass rushers. I'd consider going Safety but the team loves Ward and he's played well this year. RB is set. We do have a need at WR, but that is such a high risk position. Lots of busts. Plus rookie WRs take 2-3 years to round into form and we already drafted 2 in Hurd and Deebo. Seems like a position better addressed in FA.
the 49ers high round picks have been mixed results, but the team has been killing it on day 3. I'd trade our 1st back, then trade back again, cast a wide net in rounds 4+ and go to work on our depth

This game had me a bit nervous, when I got home from work I turned the tv on and bam the Cardinal's quarter back ran for that touchdown. I am glad the team kept fighting and despite his mistakes I am proud of Jimmy G. I don't care if our wins are by the skin of our teeth as long as we win. Tough games ahead but I believe our Niners can win the division and just win period.

I don’t see Pettis & Goodwin on the team next season. Pettis didn’t even get any action today he’s officially in Kyles dog house & Goodwin didn’t get much snaps either I believe he was in on 2 plays in the 4th qtr he caught a nice ball for a couple yards then on the next play they go to him again & he drops it 🤦🏽♂️ the 2 most inconsistent receivers on the team. I believe we’ll be going WR with our first round pick.
Actually I’ll add to that Pettis was a beast of a return man in college, they finally listened to me & threw Richie James in on some offense today & he came up big. My idea would be to make Pettis the new return man & give Richie a bigger role in the offense.
They need to try and at least trade Pettis. And Bourne finally getting the looks he deserves. He basically makes plays anytime he gets a chance.

Goodwin on the other hand as known as one of the fastest receivers in league, just having a down year I believe this will be his last season in SF despite the contract extension. Goodwin could be traded next season and more than likely will

Imagine 49ers without Jimmy G, 49ers become Chicago Bears. The 49ers receivers should learn don't stand or run into double coverage and think Jimmy will throw the ball to you easily, please just catch the ball first, don't try catch the ball when running forward. Wilson Jr should play more, he is a RB with burst move and strong.
