It's a lovely cycle to Arrecife from PDC. Arrecife seems like a nice place to be based for a holiday!
It really is!
Great video Dave. Impressed with Arrecife. looks nice and clean. Have to give that a visit when we come over next..
Defo worth a visit mate
Like to visit Arricife, some lovely cafés. The small museum over the bridge on the island is very interesting, there's also a great cafe next to the new pool they have built. Although you couldn't swim in the pool when we were last there.
Thanks for the tips!
Wish I would have came with you, this has really made me wants to spend the day in Arrecife!
Do it you would enjoy
Great video Dave 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved the video, some beautiful architecture. We will definitely visit in September.
Have fun!
Really interesting video, thank you. We have been to Playa Blanca numerous times but never visited Arrecife.
You should! Thanks for watching
Have a look at Islote de Fermina near the Gran Hotel very pretty place. I will look for the new sweet shop next time I visit
Yes lovely place I think I did a video there already
Interesting video Dave. Great to see Arrecife as never seen any videos of there. Will definitely visit there when we come over in September. Lovely shops very clean looking.
You should!
Great video as usual!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cycled into arrecife last year from pdc beautiful ride nice and flat and a great way to see the place highly recommend it great vid mate😎
Great to hear!
Great vlog 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
We had a cruise stop here last year. Our 1st visit to Lanzarote. Coming back to stay in Costa Teguise in September but hope to revisit Arrecife 😍
Sounds great!
Enjoyed the video, Thanks. A bit nostalgic as we used to visit regularly when we lived briefly in Lanza. Have to say that the whole area of El Charco has come up a lot in the last decade or so, it used to bit a little grotty to say the least. Reckon it's the money from the cruise ships that has done it. There's also Carnaval and the Sardine ceremony to see when they are on and, of course, UD Lanzarote football which is conveniently located near the bus station. Zarote, Zarote, Zarote Lanzarote !!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
On way to arricefe now 😎
Enjoy
Really enjoyed that it's completely different to when I was there it was more about cafes & business with a few supermarkets and duty free shops thanks
Changed a lot
Thankyou Dave for another interesting vlog. If we order from Amazon here it inevitably comes the next day or day after.😊
Yes here it's ages
The Divina Italia restaurant at San Gines was the second one of the same name opened by Josè Manuel ( he used to look like a double of Eric Cantona when he was younger, which used to confuse some of the Man U supporting kids ) who owns the Lighthose bar and restaurant in Costa Teguise. The food at both the Davinas is great. He bought the original Divina Italia back in about 2010. He also used to own a Kebab shop in Costa which sold decent kebabs, just not the same as back in the UK! The staff were all Chinese which made some of the ordering amusing at times😁.
Whern we first visited Lanza back in 1986, Arrecife was an absolute dump, some parts are still tatty and run down but things have been steadily improving over the years.
There're still lots of traditional old style Canarian bars in lots of the back streets where you'll be offered a small tapa with every drink which is very authentic.
Yes so much has changed thanks for sharing
We just love Arrecife and stay in the Lancelot hotel near playa del Reducto when visiting Lanzarote.
We bought few Shells in the Shell Room.
Amazing
Hi Dave, We're heading to Puerto Del Carmen this Saturday...We would love to meet up if you were around in the next couple of weeks!
I never know where I am check tik tok for lives
@@MrTravelONWorld Will Do!---We really want your face on our Case! :)
Good one Dave, interesting, maybe you could cover an Arreceife football match sometime
Yes mate still trying to get hold of them
Great stuff. Have you ever done a video specifically for cruise passengers. If somebody is only going to have one day in Lanzarote, what would you want then to see?
No Bill its super complicated with cruise ships the ship has monopoly on things to do
"It's a taste sensation" (10 mins 40 seconds)😂, dave was that your Peter kay impression
Ha ha ha
What a fab video as always Dave! Is it fairly easy to get to Arrecife from Playa Blanca by public transport?
Yes not too bad to be honesy
Hi Dave a friend and colleague is in Lanza just now
Wow hope they enjoy it mate if they need anything you know where I am
Arrive in 2 weeks, looking forward to visiting Arrecife. Thanks for the film, Dave. Looking at booking a half day south tour with travelon world, can i book whilst there ? Many thanks
You can only book online with us mark
what like 2 roads, you need a whole day in Ace to show the viewers, theres loads more to see including the best tapas in the taxi owners bar. great footage BTW
Yes of course, but he was only there to do some paperwork so looked what was nearby x
Defo planning a full day
Wat Bus do you get from puerto del carmen to the. Town please ☘️🇮🇪🙏🏻
161 or 61
I have shop in Arrecife in Avenida La Marina. I live and work in Arrecife and always wondered why everybody is cramped in dirty Puerto del Carmen, so much cleaner and nicer in the Reef
Its amazing x
Wish I brought my Bicycle
Ha ha
Liverpool gets more cruise ships than Lanzarote. Crazy eh?
Ha ha really
@MrTravelONWorld Honest. As the film says, no liners go there, yet Liverpool gets 3 each month. One in port right now.
Click baiting with the title again Mr T? You’ll have the trolls all over you!! 😂😂
For sure I will ha ha ha ha they can troll on at least the videos are interesting though and I was genuinely shocked at the new places
Arricife isn’t Arrici-feeee it’s ah-rreh-see-feh !
It's whoo cares you have tooooo mu ch Tii mmee on your Haa nds
Really nice place, shame about the droves of British tourists spoiling the place 😅.
Well it would be dead otherwise
click baiting lol . Not been to Arrecife since before pandemic, but did like the little cafes and the castle and sea front, when we last went there . Hope you sorted out the taxman and you didnt make like the statue in front of the office
Ha ha I was that statue ha ha ha ha
With all the protests by the locals about the level of tourism being too high this post feels like the height of ignorance.
Scroll on then
Without the tourists, they'd have little to no income...🤔🤔
