- The Azanian People's Organisation is asking for donations from South
Africans to enable it to contest the upcoming general elections. Party leader
Nelvis Qekema says funders have sidelined the party due to its
'radical' position on return of land ownership.

It's clear lack of leadership. EFF was established in 2013 and also pushing for the return of Land. Why is EFF doing it so successfully. Why is AZAPO not joining EFF?
Qekema himself said at the EFFs Anniversary that AZAPO believes in the EFF.

Zimbabweans grabbed the Land, they did not use a Constitutional process. You remind us of detractors who claimed that SAns shall have civil war based on tribalism bcs our neighnours went through the same. Like we told them then, we are telling you now, the process of returning SAn Land is not the sane as what Zim went through.

Look at the suit, tie and watch. They expect black people ( poor) to donate to them. They still holding on to liberation struggle, yet we are fighting different struggle. Unemployment, crime, drugs and other issues.

Problem is that they want to visit the poor of the poorest ONLY during Elections, nobody must help them. AZAPO must be shamed. Where were you the past 5 years, if you really wanted funding so bad, you would have made sure that we see you working the Past 4 years

The state is supposed to give money to all Parties contesting elections equally.
Ntate Xekana, I now understand after watching this interview why you aren't receiving donations from AZAPO members and other well-wishers. It's because your party's policies are stale and out of time. There's absolutely no new thing you're offering the electorate which existing radical political parties aren't offering them. So you were right when you said that "you've been dying in the struggle". Indeed your party's members died in the struggle during apartheid which was commendable given that apartheid was the common enemy. Today however, you're dying to remain relevant in a fast-changing world. South Africa is a cosmopolitan country and society. One therefore, cannot split hairs on racial lines in terms of helping South Africans.
