@@deadeyeduncan5022 Gotta get your eyes checked. Safety for fellow troops is a big concern here in the west ;) That is why we do not send 84 mm Carl Gustav rounds down range with people directly behind the tube. Because they will be killed. It is as easy as that
Back in the day when I was trained on this weapon the very first time (late 80's) we would never shoot more than two rounds at a MBT - after that you either had destroyed it (flank or rear fire) or it was intact and most likely turning the turret your way. So the doctrine was two CGs fire simultaneously and then withdraw fast as f__k. Shooting at troops or APCs was a different story: keep going until they were destroyed and the machine guns besides you finished it all off. Fun facts: a fast team (loader/shooter) can manage 6 rounds per minute easily and that's also the safety limit per day during peace time not to cause the eye cornea to possibly loosen due to the shocks.
@@laudwigh Ah yes, since 2012 or something like that the number increased from 6 to 20. Mind you, those figures was always just a number - not the reality when training ;)
In my countryI think we stopped using this already but in the 90s we were told that in wartime there could be 5 rounds, 1 already pre-loaded inside the gun ready to go but not cocked even then was still a very scary thought. I had a unique way of carrying it without bipod hitting on your leg while on march, I used a gpmg sling then while shoulder slinging the 84 I would twist the bipod upwards anticlockwise and then hook my elbow around it and my hand grabbing the front hand grip of the gun while on march, this way it was tighter you could march 20 click pretty comfortably or even sprint short distance this way as long as you used a gpmg sling or something which had a wide and thick shoulder padding.
When you hear the clinking noises, you know that there's a Swede nearby. It's either the shells of a Carl Gustav RFK 84MM or, if you're in Denmark, then it's Swedes carrying bags of alcohol bottles as a workaround to Systembolaget.

@@carpetclimber4027 Headbutting Danes? That's funny. Swedes are usually so timid and embarrassed when they are shopping for alcohol in Denmark. Well, are you disappointed?? I can make a tutorial on blasting up a door.
@@UAGhostrider that could be handy
Maybe there should be like a portable, foldable tripod or something, they could use the weight of one of the soldiers to hold it down/ stabilize it. Improve accuracy?
We have a bipod on it. But we hug eachother to stabilise
@@UAGhostrider Alright cool (y)
When I shot this the very first time and the grenade went away my first words after was "Shit, it's raining" because I had gotten drops on my glasses. My instructor turned to me and said "It's fucking snot you got it all over your face". So FYI this is also a very effective snot clearing device.
Yep... Needed in Ukrain for the village protection, together with dirtbikes to get out after striking enemy at shorter range.
iam no expert but for what kind of tanks this weapon is in use nowadays? I read that this weapon (pretty neat design from the point of view when it got invented...) penetratres 400 RHA... Shouldn be enough for an t90 for example
Or am i wrong? Some weapons nerd or swedish soldier pls explain greetings from Germany
Forget mbt. Engage everything else
You can easily disable mbts from anywhere but front with this, if you ever get lucky enough to be in range and mbt didn't blew you up already.
@@DraxTheDestroyer the city
@@sionetukia8990 Yeah, urban area is the nightmare of any armored vehicle
That sound👏
62mln hits and no one dislike it.
Damn powerful
I love Carl Gustav!
Молодці хлопці!!! 👍👍👍
The way we did it the loader always had the next round in this hand by the time the shooter pulled the trigger, we achieved roughly double the rate of fire this way.
The start sounds like when Beyond The Press are about to blow something up.
Love the weapon but. I was working at Garrison Police at Gallipoli Barracks and a furious father rang in asking me for the 6RAR orderly room number. A Private Carl Gustav had gotten his 18 year old daughter pregnant. Pre mobile phone days. We all laughed our arses off in the guard room!
Why the camera showed us the slowest/worst couple???
The middle one did very good job!
You can film whatever couple you want from behind🤙
DUUUDE! I Never got to fire the 84 in volleys. That looks so fucking fun!
we fired 72 live ones that day :D
I miss it. I remember the moment I shot it, it hurt like my whole body was being pounded.
Awesome! Greetings from Ukraine!
Thank you! Hope you are doing well there!
I think a bipod on the front end would be nice to have
we have a bipod in the middle
imagine being a russian mech infantry division at the other end of that ambush. would definitely reconsider
Yep. Two minutes later the Russian artillery open up and take out the whole fuckin grid square followed by a hind attack just for the fun of it.
@Norse man did you really compare afghanistan to sweden? Do you seriously think that in the event of a war, for the sake of something against Sweden they will not use modern weapons, taking into account the experience of the war in Afghanistan? Plus, the Swedes, unlike Afghanistan, are dependent on their industry in cities that are easier to capture from the sea.
@Norse man but we have ... the war in Afghanistan ended a long time ago ...
@Norse man Oh, foreigners, as always, know what happens in Russia better than Russians ...
@Norse man yes yes, at least a little lower your analytical pathos, it just looks ridiculous
And what did we learn?
hello im from S.korea. we still use M67 90mm recoilless rifle.. we need that shit... gustav
This is some super good arma effect mods! :D Where can I get these..
Also this is a joke if you don't realise :D Thank you
On armaholic😉
Question what cost a round of ammo?
I have heard that the army buy one HEAT round for 5000 NOK (around 500$) but we got it on "sale for 6NOK pr grenade
