  • Dal Pakwan is a filling, satisfying and delicious popular Sindhi breakfast. It is basically chana dal (Bengal gram) curry served with crispy fried Indian flatbread called Pakwan. The Pakwan is basically a fried bread flavored with carom seeds. This pair of the Dal curry and Pakwan packs a punch in terms of aroma, flavors as well as textures. It is one of our favorite breakfast dish.Dal Pakwan is not just an ultra-tasty combination with a variety of textures in it, but is also a comforting dish that can be had for any meal. Not just breakfast or brunch, but even for lunch or dinner.
    Usually when Dal Pakwan is served, it is always accompanied with a Sweet Chutney, Green Chutney and chopped onions or tomato.

    1 cup Chana dal
    3 tbsp Moong dal
    Salt
    Turmeric
    1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
    1/2 tsp Coriander powder
    1/2 tsp Garam masala
    3 tbsp Oil
    Coriander leaves
    3 Tomato
    2 Green chilli
    Water
    Pakwan :
    2 bowl Maida
    3 tbsp Ghee
    1 tbsp Oil
    Salt
    Carom seeds
    Water
    Serving:
    Pakwan
    Dal
    Green chutney
    Sweet - Tangy chutney
    Tomato
    Red chilli powder
    Chat masala
    Besan Sev
    Coriander leaves
